Mortars should cause abandon on tanks with exposed crew

I would also like to add, why don't nades decrew open top tanks like the m36? It would add more flavor to the game if you have to watch out for grenadiers hiding in ambush. Who are about to pop a rifle grenade on an american tank destroyer and steal it.

You guys haven't grasped the idea that the abandon mechanic is already extremely toxic and you want mortars to decrew Jacksons and Ostwinds? Something that has no counter-play (it's a shell falling from the sky) that you can't predict the landing of, you want to now abandon your full health tank? In the middle of a fight it could be game changing.
This game needs less RNG immersion and focus on the less frustrating aspects of warfare to achieve it.

Thats bad idea to say the least, mortars definitely do not lack in usefulness at any stage of the game, if anything they increase theirs in late game, where positions are more established.

I don't see it as adding whole new strategic level to the game, I see it as adding whole new RNG to the game that affects mostly allies, is unneeded and allows 240 mp units to counter 300+mp 100+fu units.
Unless your goal is to take a steamy dump on the balance, then its a bad idea.
