The answer is dual MG34. Which he did not get because he picked the wrong commander.
The other option is to rush your Schwerer Panzer Headquarters and fight around that until you get better units. It needs to be deployed in a position where your enemy can't afford to let you hold though. Like the left side cutoff in this case.
Also, USF Rifle company can pull a similar and much more potent blob with 5 rifles + flamethrowers and Captn'.

Apparently you lure the blob into your T4 building, according to some pros here. Or Halftrack that dies to two at gun shots. Won't work against piats though.

For a start it is a small map 2 ISG behind the house near middle VP would be a good start.
Upgrading the volks with shreks instead of upgrading both Fusilier would of been a better choice Fusilier can be upgraded later. IMO not the best doctrine choice for this map.
Getting flak truck instead of mech would have been more beneficial particularly near cut off which would also add additional defence to the ISG.
Anyway enough of your stupid questions

2 ISG behind the house = 660 manpower, means nearly 3 squad of manpower, so what are you gonna stop tommy with? Dick in your hands?
How much menpower is 5 IS squads+tech+weapon upgrades+expanded squads?
I'm quite sure you'd manage well resource-wise.
But your strat might work for you better.
