I like to use the Recon Company. But I think that the paratrooper combat group needs a change. For example that they remove the AT-gun and the random weapons that RNG gives to these units and lower the cost, so that I can get 2 paratrooper squads for a lesser cost.
I also think that the Greyhound needs a change, but I don't know what change.

IR Pathfinders with call in art
The bad-
4 Model quad that is squishy as f***
No crits or accuracy buff
Call in art is expensive & takes ages to call in

Early light armoured broom broom car (greyhound)
The bad-
broom broom car is weak & canister shot that is supposed to squadwipe don't do it any more.

Combat support squad with 2 paratroopers call in for 900 MP already upgraded with weapons & an AT gun

Comes too late, is too expensive & the AT gun isn't used very often. The paras don't seem to sport any decent abilities for an "elite" infantry group. Weapon drops seem to favour zooks more than any other weapon but 1919s & thompsons will sometimes spawn.
Does that summarise the pros & cons?

They also plant M7 mines (... whoopee) and don't regen health at vet 2. I would take a stock paratrooper or a glider over this any day.

IR Pathfinders have 3 Model.
Call in art is expensive & takes ages to call in
140 ammo no expensive. Arty strike allmost immediately.
If you get Thompson Paras, you can give them 2 BARs or Zooks.
Whey cool but the chances of getting low.

Thing about the paradrop idea is that it's useless, not merely too expensive. By the time you unlock it you've got other units to field than two paratroopers.
Their idea of fixing commanders is, precisely, to release new ones.
As for the OP, great ideas. Not so much improved but fixed and does what it says: light recon and support. Flares and Forward Obs are pretty much the same thing, the only difference is one doesn't need buildings but cost munitions, and vice versa for the other, and both require Riflemen. Greyhound should act like T-70 with an observer toggle that disables weapons, or a cloak that disables movement but can ambush enemies. IR Pathfinders can spawn from ambient buildings and act like spotter infantry, there's a cut feature for UKF where infantry can toggle to cloak and increase sight range, but unable to move; if you want combat support, they should have the Snipe ability from AA where you snipe a target for cooldown and munitions, great to deal with depleted squads like Panzergrenadiers or Obers or to finish off a gun crew.
Given so many recon abilities I don't think they'd need Recon Overflight. I'm thinking a generalist off-map ability, if IR Pathinders don't have their 155mm artillery. Either the 155mm artillery from Mechanized Company, or maybe an offmap 60mm mortar barrage?
