KV1 / KV2 are completely outclassed by british Tanks

The KV1, while costing 145 fuel is far worse than the Churchill that costs 150 fuel.
Even in the next patch the Churchill will still have a better gun, more health, better acceleration and abilities that actually help it's role as a "damage soaker". 30 Armour difference don't justify this dramatic performance difference, especially since the KV1 is the "show horse" tank of the Counterattack commander.

And the KV2 has unfortunately become a complete troll unit. With 800 HP it just doesn't sustain any concentrated attack, especially when it has to get immobile first to do anything useful.
With 230 fuel it's also completely overpriced when compared to British tanks and the Tiger 1 / IS2 that cost exactly the same.
It had its punch when it still had 100 range but ever since the range got reduced to 70 in lock down - soviet industry has been forgotten by relic, while the new factions get the shiny new toys.

I like to discuss ways to buff / solve this imbalance between units. What do you guys suggest?

one can just not use it. Ie i never saw any of those tanks. What is impottant is the core tree that was destroyed by removing medium tank from T3

On Kv-1. I have used counterattack recently and as whole I think the commander is in good shape. The Kv-1 is actually decent when followed by a fast T-70. You get the best inf in the game if you double shocks with MR. Back them up with at-guns and a Kv-1 and youre good midgame. If youre compairing it with a op-unit it will always lose.

Eh, just buff health to 960 and make vet 1 not worthless. Its armor and other stats seem fine for what it is.

Kv2 overhaul needs to come with a commander revision. Whenever the fuck relic decides to fix this crap.

If they could just rework the veterancy 1 of soviet heavy tanks to not be just "you can cap points now, go ahead and do that assymetric stuff!" I'd be so glad.

Meanwhile, every other heavy tank in the game has a much more useful ability for vet 1 than the KV1/KV2 have(anyone ever saw a capping KV2? :snfPeter: ).

What does the KV's have to do with brits? this just looks like another excuse to qq over churchills.

KV-1 is doctrinal, CP8 and doesn't need tech. Brits don't even have anything comparable.

Give me counter-attack for brits and I would use it over commando reg or artillery reg every game.

The point is that units that cost the same and have the same role should approximately perform at the same level, regardless the faction. But right now, one Churchill performs approximately like 2 kv1's. Which simply isn't fair.

Also change your signature, it's disgusting.

i would agree if the KV1 didnt come at 8 cps, with no tech requirements meaning you cant still be at tier 3 and get this baby out so i think its fine how it is, the KV2 is another story tho.

They cost nowhere near the same when you factor in tech costs, hence why the whole call-in meta was nerfed with the T-34/85's and IS-2 in the first place. The KV-1 being a survivor along with the sherman, I bet you when the next patch hits we will see a whole lot more of them rather than (the current OP) KV-8's.

If you want to buff it to Churchill performance it would be unfair for it to not be tied into T4 like the T-34/85

But right now, one Churchill performs approximately like 2 kv1's. Which simply isn't fair.

Well I just tested the doctrine with the KV1 again. You can get a kv1 at 8cp, if rushed you can get double kv8 out by the 17-18 minute mark if everything goes well and you use a conscript into maxims into at gun into waiting for kv8 build.

Pretty much nothing an OKW player can do against that :bananadance:

All the medium tanks and heavy tanks should be locked at tech buildings imo. Especially the M4C.

KV2 sucks.Is it worth 230 fuel as the same as the IS 2/Tiger I? lol...Absolutely no.

The KV1 doesn't need tech cost but it still sucks compared to the churchills. Or probably the churchills are still too OP for their cost.The OP things are not their performances but the huge healthpool. Even 1280 is still too much for their cost imo.It always annoyed me why they have so much HP for cheap cost. The churchills spam heavily ruined the late team games currently.

It could use a slight buff...don't make it like churchill though. It was rolled out early in the eastern front and while the heaviest armor at it's time and upgraded through the years it should have armor and HP between the 1200 HP heavies and the 800 HP mediums.
