As the title says OKW should have some sorf of alternative way of spending MP to avoid floating. My idea is the muni cache.

Opinions? Ideas?

They spend mp on obers and volks. Also, third tier of OKW can change oil for muni and conversely muni for oil. So with muni caches they can convert far more oil.

They get the supply transfer. I don't dont think giving them caches would really adjust their MP float..thats all based on their unit quality and overall stats.

Apart from this would indirectly buff the new OKW commander with recoup losses as well as see the return of Obersoldaten Death Blobs, no, but I do agree that OKW need a way to spend their manpower.

Grenades, weapon upgrades, mines, resource conversion, abilities (Smoke, aimed shot etc)

Don't really think they need much more.

This is about another way to spend manpower, not muni.

Am I seriously the only one here that isn't just rolling in mp while playing okw? You people aren't spending your manpower on shit you need. There is always something worth manpower that okw could be using if hey can spare it.

Yeah, there is always sth and raketens are never a bad idea. OKW is in such a bad state now that it never floats. And that is about incoming patch, in current one you can just spam ISGs like there was no tommorow and whats more, it works!

I find the only time I float as OKW is when I go mech truck first. When you do that you pretty much have no choice but to build a ton of volks or pick a commander with call-in infantry to compensate for the fact that you have no LEIG or forward retreat point to act as a force multiplier.

It might be interesting if instead of converting fuel -> muni or visa versa the mech truck converted MP to fuel or muni at a reasonable ratio. In effect this would simulate building a cache. The difference would be that while a cache requires immediate investment for eventual net gain in resources OKW mp conversion would be a constant conversion that never produces a overall net gain in resources but also could be toggled as needed.

Indeed, the MP float of OKW is an issue. Unless you're throwing away units or suffering heavy losses, you simply don't have enough valid core options to use outside of call ins to use the manpower in a effective manner. Yes, you won't float OKW manpower IF you pick a doctrine with call in infantry. I bloody tired of going 2 Sturms, 3 Volks, and 3 Rakets and still have enough manpower to last the next game.

I could see a manpower to munitions converter as it does add an interesting option. But alas I have no certain answer to offer.

You only need to go watch a few games under the "Live Games" tab to see how bad people float their resources.
