Just like the title says.
KV8 and Croco are the best inf killers atm and they seem to have magical powers to slow down the time on the battlefield. I'm talking about the poor optimization of the game itself.
Whenever there is a large area of flames (or worse: smoke) my PC also starts to burn (those fucking OP tanks can even attack the players itself), resulting in FPS about 15.
Is there anything that can be done against this problem? My specs are very good (i5, GTX970) and still those situation lag the shit out of me. You cannot believe how screwed I am after a phosphor barrage. Holy cow, my PC turns back to the Pentium III my father used to play Tomb Raider: Starring Lara Croft with (damn who didn't love to put that annoying butler into that fridge).
Every other game like GTA V etc runs perfectly smooth > 60 fps.
Flame tanks are OP because of CPU optimization

Maybe you need to turn down some settings?
Your specs are indeed very good, but I never had that on my older mid-low end pc, not once had lags because of too much happening on screen with lowered settings.

Yeah, if you have good specs and this amount of lags, I'd also turn them down..

Yea, I suppose its better to keep ultra settings with maxed aa, full shadows and physics in team games and complain about possible issues
My current specs allow me to play without problems on the highest settings (i5, gtx 980ti), but I still would be somewhat afraid of doing team games with that.
CoH is also more CPU then GPU heavy.

Try using nvidia settings for coh2 instead of in game settings where possible. I'm running on max settings with minimum 30fps on gtx760. The trick is I have in game AA turned of and I turned it on in nvidia settings even up to 32x It's also good to set turn off default energy saving mode when coh2 window is active, reclocking couses many drops in framerate.
EDIT: Just checked in game: dropdowns under 30fps happen only while watching flames zoomed in. If camera position is default it had dropped from 60 to 32 dps when kv-8 arrived and covered all my base with flames (I just got a suitable raplay from match against noganno )
Try setting individual settings for coh2 in nvidia control panel, dont know how to help any more in that case. I also use win10, 2500k@4.3GHz, 16gb of 1600MHz ram and SSD disk, maybe some of this spec will help, f.e. ssd helps a lot on winter maps for some reason.

Permanently BannedDon't play on ultra, I run the game on a gtx 966 and an intel i3 and I run this fine on medium with no lag and 50 fps.
