Is it just me or did they get stealth buffed? Just played a 1vs1 and lost four squads to four single mines

Don't know about soviets, but on my last game on duseldorf, schu mine wiped full health engis, full health cons and full health shocks.

Hope that it was just bad rng for me.

Its not just soviet mines.

All mines got massive AOE ninja buffs for no reason at all.

That was their solution to dealing with tanks driving over mines and not taking damage, I guarantee it. (assuming you are telling the truth)

rep? I think they need buff to wipe cuz they cover only 1 dot on the map unlike axis mine fields.
Those prepatch mines where trash as AI.

Also noticed that guards doing slightly bettr vs mediums rear

Watched a British-mine demo combo bring a Tiger down to like .1 hp with an immobilize crit on Romeo's stream the other day.

Mines were wiping all over the place. Craziness.

strangely tanks still drive over mines and nothing happens sometimes.
A t34 drove over TWO mines and nothing happened.

A croc drove over a mine and nothing happened.

Mines OP =>Sweeper OP

But yes mines need to be toned down ,make em enly to kill n-1 models where n is squad model maximum.

Also demos should be only on building and bridges , not everywhere.

But mybe finnaly players realised how mines are strong after using partisans

Demo can wipe more than just 1 squad.

Pretty sure it was actually because they changed the squad spacing with the release of the Brits. Dunno if you played around with it, but in the Brit Limited Trial, mines were at best doing 2 models out of a 4 squad blob. I remember spending like half an hour making giant blobs and have them go through schu, modified m6, and TM-35 mines and I couldn't get more than 1 model killed per squad.

Can anyone confirm this? I mean seriously? They've fixed it after ages then reverted it with this SHITFIX? Dear god...

Thought I was crazy, but I got this impression too. S-Mines felt like like they were ripping apart squads that barely inched into the field.

Wouldn't surprise me if they accidentally buffed them when they were fixing the whole detonation not working properly bug. Of course they spent all that time testing the hot-fix...

Actually there was a reason.

Mines, all of them, AoE got increased to compensate for more spread infantry formations now.

Not much you can do when walking around corners though.

It's because of the explosive changes they did. Like most weapons, explosives have an accuracy and penetration stat, which meant even troops in the AoE had a chance to survive if the explosion missed. With the changes (all ninjas btw), they reduced the AoE of many explosive weapons and increased the accuracy to 100% so that any unit within an AoE will always take damage.

I assume they were trying to make weapons more consistent, but the problem with Mines is they do flat damage over their entire AoE. So basically when a Mine is triggered, it does 200 damage to every model within its AoE, with none of them having a chance to 'cheat death'.

The solution would probably be to introduce a normal AoE with damage fall-off for all mines. But I don't know how that would effect Tanks, which are probably the reason it has flat AoE to begin with...
