How to make the t3476 useful

The T34/76 is close to ok as is, and none of your suggestions seem all that great. If people are getting upset about the quick T70, a T34 that comes out 20 seconds later would really make people unhappy.

In 2v2's, it's still somewhat useful late game as a flanking and capping (with Vet 1) vehicle. Sometimes they're useful for hunting panzerwerfers, depending on how easy it is to flank on the particular map.

With most of the game set in late WWII, it would seem to be more consistent to have the T34/85 in the tech tree instead of the T34, but that idea has been tossed around a lot already (and ignored by Relic).

Something to keep in mind about the old T34/76 with the 5.6s reload is that it was also produced from T3 and arrived earlier than the current T34/76. What made that tank good was not just the RoF but also the timing window it enjoyed before it was outclassed. With the current T34 stuck in T4 and arriving later it needs measurably more performance to succeed in it's role as a medium tank. The current performance is akin to producing a 222 to harass when the enemy already has a Stuart.

I don't really know what to do with the t34/76. If we rule out putting it back in t3 (too hard) and introducing some non-doc way to get t34/85 (which I still think is a good idea, but will probs never happen) then it comes down to either a buff or a cost decrease.

Firstly we need to determine a new role for the unit. OK it doesn't have the shock value it used to, so what should it do now? Is it meant to be a shit spammable unit (doesn't really fit with CoH emphasis on unit preservation), or is should it be a cheap workhorse that punches above its weight with good vet bonuses? Right now it can't do either; 300mp/80fu is still a lot to spend on a tank you will lose at least one of taking down enemy armour.

Someone suggested increasing the repair speed and that's not a bad idea. USF can work with weaker mediums because it's easy to repair them and get them back in the fight; if this could be done with the t34/76 you could end up with a unit that while not spectacular is always around when you need it.

If Soviet T4 required 2 tech buildings, not just T3 built, then the t34 might still find its useful window.

For most people the ability to rush a t70 or Quad HT will still be extremely valuable, but going T1 and T2 and skipping T3 could be a potential option if fuel income allowed.

I would just increase their speed so u can crush units like cromwell, the gun isnt really supposed to be any better, maybe slight buff against armor.

whilst the crash gearbox had 4 gears it took superhuman strength ( considering the midgets who crewed them) to get it into top apparently.

We in 1943-43 so no gearbox had 4 gears only 5 now sorry:snfPeter:

the russian prefer short guys for their tank crew. Part of the reason how they managed to make their tanks smaller compared to their western counterpart.

Nice mythology:thumb: T-34-76 was smoll bcs Cristy/BT legacy. IS-2 was smoll bcs KV-13 legacy. And yes, the ultra dense arrangement.

To topik - what again T-34-76???
Fix this

Normal ram will work like:
- against wheel vehicle and half-track, T-34-85 take minimum damage, no crits, target destroyed;
- against light tanks and TD, T-34-85 take minimum damage, light engine damage, target tank heavily damaged and stuned;
- against medium tanks and TD, T-34-85 take average damage, stuned + random crits, same for target tank;
- against heavy tanks and TD (including Panther), T-34-85 take heavily damage, stuned + random crits, target tank low damaged, stuned and light engine damage.
And yes, remove engine overheating.

T-34-76 need ram fix. T-34-76 need normal usefull 1 vet skil. T-34-76 is unnecessary as the T4 unit. And maybe some buffs. Need to change so much that easy to leave T-34-76 in his grave...

If I have to make a suggestion it would be upgrades/ vet that improved armour.

I'd also suggest Ram be more like Blitzkrieg, but only forward and with engine overheat afterwards like how it is now. No longer do you have to treat it like a 80FU kamikaze.

If we're going to entertain the whole replace with '85, then it would be much like the M10: it sucks compared to M36, but cheaper, comes at earlier CP akin to its original T3 timeframe, and has its own advantages like faster and more effective against infantry. Considering the current Soviet commanders this change isn't very bad IMO.
