Rear echelons shouldn't be able to pick up any base upgrades

From your previous posts I think it's safe to assume you play OH almost exclusively, so I'll try to help in the unlikely event you face Price or someone that does this effectively:
1. Go CAS
2. Prioritize munis over everything, turn fuel into munis even
3. Get 4-5 grens, 1 mg to support them, maybe a mortar for good measure
4. Equip all grens with lmgs asap
5. Spam stuka AI strafes, use it every time you engage the blob
6. Get 1-2 paks as appropriate to counter armor

Imagine you could upgrade them with LMG42, now that would be actually broken
(double Bar on a bunch amount of REs, which is super pricy and even lack any kind of nade, certainly isn't)

How about shreks on volks? Volks are cheap and shreks are potent upgrade, very potent. Or double standards again?

But training 10-15 REs and equipping them with bars, zooks and 1919s is not a trolling strat. Yeah I want to be able to upgrade those ostruppens with laser STGs as well, thanks.

REs are fine if not a tad expensive.
They can still hold and use the most powerful upgrades in game and deal the same damage as any other specialist, expensive unit. That's the issue. Imagine ostruppen were able to pickup an lmg34 and a panzershreck at the same time
@Keaper: Actually i play brits mostly and man I am tired of CAS. Skill planes and Iwin buttons take away the challenge factor and that's where the fun ends.
And btw, with those upgrades they vet up quite fast and get one additional model so I wouldn't call tehm squishy at that point.

P.S.: SPrice does the same with a Rifle & Zook combination. Or Pathfinder and Bars. He just likes his spam & blob strats, and he's quite good with them. There's also several videos and replays online where this kind of tactic backfires a lot - so there's that (cheese countered as intended).

Permanently BannedThe real problem is that BARs should be a global upgrade. The only purpose RE serve currently, besides picking up weapon racks, is recrewing something after a big engagement without having to retreat another rifle off the field. RE should have mines not weapons.

Most powerful upgrades in game? Are we playing the same game? Because BAR and Zooks don't equate to LMG34s and Schreks. Even then, its the same thing where you are paying the Munitions for the Weapon's DPS - whatever squad lugging it around doesn't really matter. 2-3 models of the RE squad are still lugging around their derpy Pew Pew rifles... if you pay 120 Munitions of course their DPS will go up. Rifles still have better Vet and DPS with the same weapons, you are just choosing to sacrifice that for a less effective squad that is cheaper. Regardless you are limited by Munitions.
The same would go for Osttruppen; the only difference is that the commander has a Fuel -> Munitions conversion which would let you spam upgrades which is the only way that it would be broken. Not like the Mobile Defense Ostruppen with LMGs are all that overwhelming either lol. Besides, Weapon Racks are a core USF mechanic whereas for Wher. its not. Its simply not an issue.

You're playing the wrong game if you're feeling nostalgic for vcoh.
Nostalgia is when you want something one way just because thats how it was in the past, regardless of whether it was better or not. Making BARs a global upgrade, along with some other faction changes to US (buff 57mm for example) is just better than the current system.

Not that your opinion matters, but picking up weapons is not tactical nor interesting.
