Hi
since the new update of the British army my world builder is not working properly I load my map just start to make changes then it just freezes up I cant do anything It wont let me close the program down or minimize it so I have to reboot.
I have tried uninstalling the game and deleting all ass files then running virus scan and cc scan then malware scan then a reboot reinstalling game but same result.
I have even gone to lengths to delete windows updates to see if it was one of those as coh1 had an issue with a certain update but no it was not those either.
So if anybody has any ideas I'm all ears please help.
oh I have also tried running the program in compatibility mode for all OS as well.
I am running windows 10 but it was fine until the British update.

so is that it then is that all the help I'm going to get well this is a shit site for helping people with problems with the game I got more from sega atleast they told me to get in touch with the game admin that's more than I have got from this site what a load of bollocks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soo this has taken a bit of digging into.

I was having what sounds like the same issue and have been troubleshooting.

For some reason the worldbuilder was getting stuck with Nvidia's latest drivers. so I went to their driver page, put in the model of nvidia card I am using and then scrolled all the way to the bottom of the drivers list and downloaded that driver (for me it is 347.52). During the installing process I selected Custom Installation and Clean install. After installing those drivers the worldbuilder no longer locks up for me.

I am going to start working my way up through the list of drivers to figure out which one exactly started causing this problem.

Hopefully this works for you as well


Edit: So I went through and worked my way up testing each of the drivers and the crash starts to occur for me on 355.60

I have the same problem (details below) and have reinstalled the complete game (including the different factions), Win7, SP1 and my graphics drivers. I was able to open and use it previously but it simply does not open at all anymore (says it has stopped working). Any further ideas?

Did another entirely fresh install of SP1 and it now appears to be working. I also had to go up to NVIDIA driver 352.86 (not the earliest one you suggested) as well.

Can I suggest that the developers re-align and update their driver requisites in order to keep it as futureproof as possible?

I did what you suggested and it worked nice one. But only for about 4 days now I cannot place any objects it just bug splats I get to place 2 objects then crashes but it will let me place splines and splats here is the world builder report.

I load my map just start to make changes then it just freezes up I cant do anything It wont let me close the program down or minimize it so I have to reboot.

I had exactly the same problem.

For me the problem was the new drivers for the GTX 970. i played the battlefront star wars beta and this beta require the newest driver. ( btw same time as the release of the Brits )

after that it was impossible to work on a map. wb frezze constant.

Now I have installed my old driver again and it runs without any problems
