i have tried to save a map but it will not save it as coh2 would it says you can save it but read only !
also the work shop has downloaded all the blitzkrieg maps into my workshop but I cannot find where it got them from any ideas??
Does anybody know if the Coh1 world builder is up and running again as they have now unlocked the workshop for coh1 due to the release of eastern front on steam.
Also if I'm not mistaken, adding more vetoes will, in the long-run cause more issues than it solves.
Every time you add a veto, you shrink the number of available players on automatch. Sure, a lot of players will choose to veto the same maps (because they're generally disliked), but if you don't choose the same maps, you limit your chances of matching and increase the wait time.
For a game in its twilight years, longer waiting times on Automatch queues are definitely not what we need!
I'm definitely open to the concept of "fixing" some maps, rather than removing them altogether. If this were possible!
I agree with MonolithicBacon if people submit their maps to a panel of judges made up from the senior staff from this site IE: map maker, strategist, Mod maker, then they can decide which maps are good enough or have potential. if any maps need adjusting then contact the person who created the map and assign a mentor in the department it needs work on. that way the map gets what it needs and the creators get help with map creation which should result in better maps for the future of coh2.
I have used your old script for resources and added the British forces but I cant get it to work on any of my maps can you do a new script with the British forces added please.
Glad it worked for you, it was most certainly the spaces, I don't think you were past the character limit for an upload. Just as a rule of thumb, when you are saving any files ever, use "_" for the space. Will save you a lot of future grief. GL with your map. Can't wait for you to share.
And the .sga file isn't created or updated in your documents/my games/company of heroes 2/mods/scenarios folder?
Try to publish it again and check in that folder for a file of the same name. It should show the "Date Modified"; check to see if it's moments ago.
you cracked it when you said no spaces or numbers in file name and brackets i just changed all files withought numbers or spaces and it uploaded straight away you realy are a legend Bacon
I thought this first time around, but I managed to publish it myself. Usually the error log will tell you if the name is too long, and numbers in the file names seems to make no difference.
Still not entirely sure what it is that's causing the issue, unless the software is just taking too long to process it (it took much longer than normal on my own machine).
Hi Bacon
the message is only displayed for about 5-10 seconds then goes.
