Grenade problems

I'm not sure if it's just me or not, but grenades are annihilating squads again. If I even have a squad clipped by a grenade, it usually dies, and I mean going from 90% health, 4 models, to a hole in the ground.

We've all seen this before, so long story short, it needs to be toned down.

The only problem with grenades is when you give the order to fire/throw one and your squad derps out and just stands there..

Even worse is when they don't actually throw a grenade but you still get charged the muni.

This is a side effect of few earlier changes with squad spacing and AoE profiles adjustment being the main suspects.

The damage also depends on the cover (green, no cover). Ofc squads are also a bit more "clumped up" in heavy cover compared to red or no cover.
Nothing has been changend.

Green cover reduces damage from all attacks that aren't flamebased, including grenades and mortars which people tend to consider counters to cover. Whether the -50% damage is applied to a weapon depends on where it was FIRED from rather than on where the attack lands.

Grenadier firing riflegrenade on Conscript 1 will do full damage and thus is able to kill models outright on hit. Firing a riflegrenade on Conscript 2 will only do half damage and thus will only succeed in taking 50% off a model's health at best.

They removed the cover demage reduce from grandes so they do it very often :o But it will Implemented again in the next patch so be patient :thumb:

Lol my expression the first time my IS died not because of the grenade itself, but the fire from random grenades burning it to death...

This would explain it. Squads clump up more in cover, and if there's no modifier, there screwed.
