Anyone else here thinks the speed on that thing is ridiculous?
I think it's faster than a Bugatti when it cruses on the streets.

It's supposed to be fast. That's its selling point.
I watched a documentary on youtube about the Cromwell last night. It had a 40MPH top speed thanks to a special engine.
Brits used to have slow-ass tanks and realized they needed speed to maneuver better.
Brits had to flank most German tanks to hit them from the rear with the Cromwell. They didn't get a good head to head tank until the Comet, and by then the war was pretty much over.

Yeah but does the cromwell need to flank, as such? I mean, can it stand up to a p4 in a straight fight? (Idk yet that's why I'm asking).

It's more, it has higher penetration than the P4 and can solo P4's on equal footing. The flank isn't even needed!

It feels really, really fragile. Everything seems to penetrate it. Catch it out of position with 2 schrecks and a pak, and it's probably not escaping alive.

It does have tad higher penetration, but there is also armor to be taken into account.
Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

It still has 160 armour iirc, but the pen is 140 - 120. That puts it at a slight penetration advantage compared to the P4.

Perhaps it has some rocket fuel + boost since it's extremely fast. But if it was RL fast, then it should also be fast in game

It still has 160 armour iirc, but the pen is 140 - 120. That puts it at a slight penetration advantage compared to the P4.
it's 135-105.
the panzer 4 have 120-100

PaKs have higher penetration then cromwells armor you know, just like any other 640hp medium tank except for axis ones.

Well, still higher chance to pen Comet then allied AT guns have vs panther.
Saying one have too much armor without mentioning the other isn't wisest idea.

Paks not penning? Odd. it has 200 pen vs a 160 armor tank.
