You forgot low dps even with that free vickers and complete combat invalidity because of low combat movement speed.
You're basically get them to baby sit emplacements and repair tanks, they have no valid combat use outside of sitting in emplacements and defending them from single AT infantry rushes.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

out of all the things. u choose to complain about the vickers
1. Relic bans, not me. 2. It stands in the rules: If you are banned more often, the duration increase and can lead in the end to permaban 3. The Case is bigger as you guys think. So pls step 1 step away pls. 4. I am not a player in the 4vs4 cup, because of RL work.

They are fine, their main combat goal is to cover your flank I think. Defending your ATGs and HMGs and stuff.

I heard somewhere that if you upgrade them with 2 Brens and THEN go anvil and upgrade them to heavy engineers they end up with 2 Brens and a Vickers - has anyone seen this happen?

IMO they are good at defence, i always upgrade them with sweeper then anvil and usually 2 Piats (CoH1 style, tommies with brens and sappers with Piats), they are not good that much at offence cuz they get reduced speed while in combat

I used them in alpha with tripple vickers.
They still sucked and could barely win against single LMG grens, both squads out of cover, REs had 5 men upgrade, no rnade was used.

You can give them 2 Brens after anvil upgrade and still end up with vickers + 2 Brens

Even if you do spend munitions to give them two more LMG's, they are so slow, you arent going to be the one attacking things with it. Which is the point.

I found them to be decent assault infantry with Churchills, they move at the same speed and can support each other well. Anvil Engies aren't OP but spamming them and spamming Churchills is awesome.
