Since its harder to detect sarcasm and seriousness in the form of text, people put "Kappa" or "MVGame" at the end of stuff to verify that the statement isnt serious/is a mock/joke.

Kappa (n): A special code word that is imperative when demonstrating your superior knowledge of pro strats or anything that distances you from the plebs. To use it in a sentence:

Its a very smug looking headshot of Josh Kappa, one of the twitch.tv founders.

It is used to indicate sarcasm and trolling, but not the extent of MVGame.

Kappa is not MVGame.

MVGame = I'm bullshitting you
Kappa = sadface (+possible extra dose of sarcasm)
Keepo = happyface (")

It's basically a way to make serious statement, such as insulting another person or making unqualified claims, but be able to hide behind the suggestion that you might be joking.

An emote to mark smugness.

It has devolved to be used as punctuation to seem cool. 'Cuz anyone who's smug is cool. So just use it all the time.
