A little thing to add to this rather unexpected and interesting debate. On the subject of women being a non-issue. The oldest piece of recorded Western Literature is the Illiad and the Odyssey, both dealing with the consequences of a war started over (put bluntly) a woman.

Everyone plays Axis bc they are easy mode. It has been this way since the beginning, there was only ONE time in coh2 history where everyone was Allies and that was when Industry came out.
It's human nature to want to win and Germans in almost all categories from 1s to 4s have higher win percentages. Who likes loses right? I don't think anyone. And most newbies will want to win with the least effort possible.
If you don't believe me, wait until the British come out and it will be 100% Allies and no Axis. (yes this will be bc they are new and people will want to try them out but I played the alpha and know how powerful they are)

Not necessarily; there are quite a few games that operate on the premise that 'losing is fun', the most famous of which is Dwarf Fortress. Challenge is the primary motivation in gaming, but Exploration is another; hence this game attracts history nerds.

I prefer playing factions which are a lot harder to play when it comes to map control, unit preservation and so on.
At present, I feel its Axis.
That and who doesnt like German Tanks ^^ Especially when they don't break down ^^

as someone who is playing both sides, i have to say that axis is much easier. sometimes it feels like "just put your stg44 obers on a point, and let them finish all infantry"

Because OKW have five vet and excellent units. Wehrmacht have strong troops and awesome skills.

because OH is simply the most well designed faction, with different openings etc.
