A Sturmtiger represents a massive investment of resources by the OKW player. Adjusted for fuel income a Sturmtiger is worth 240 fuel is enough for an IS2 or a Tiger. If your not on the ball using it then it will probably cost you the game because you dumped all your fuel into it when you could have gotten a PIV or Panther or JPIV, ect.

The new Sturmtiger is fine were it is, it comes much later than it used to, it's limited to one doctrine (a mediocre one at that) and it's already a niche unit.

How about reducing the fuel cost (to like 150 or something idfk) and making it cost some munitions too (like 30 or whatever)?
Infinite 380cm rockets are pretty expensive you know.

Sturmtiger usage on Langres and Angoville breaks the game.

In the immortal [implied] words of the designers of StarCraft 2
If you let them get to that point and don't have like 5 TDs to hard counter then you deserve to lose sorry
Now, that's kinda stupid, but that's essentially what SC2's be.

However I merely disagree with your statement that they break the game on any map, especially given its exceedingly high opportunity cost and the numerous vulnerabilities it has.

at least some of the balance people at relic feel the same way as that is basically what bC said about clawminators vs eldar in retribution.

It could use a smaller AOE as well as a reduced range cuz it can shoot thru buildings.

The buffed the range and AoE because back when it was 40 and did almost no damage on the edges it was shit and nobody wanted to use it. It's an expensive investment and you can't get more than 1. The Sturmtiger is in a pretty much perfect place right now.

No one wanted to use it cuz you had to expose it and it was very fragile and ez to flank. Now that it can shoot thru buildings I thing its range could use a Slight adjustment as well as a Slight AOE change

They didn't add the ability to shoot through changes in the new patch. It always could, they just added the 5 more range and better AoE because nobody liked it or wanted to use seriously. I think if it really becomes an issue they should just remove it and replace it with something more sensible like a Jadgpanther or a SPH

It wasn't at retribution, but chaos rising.
And yea, that was hilarious. Get LC termies, a-move eldar base, watch how every single unit they have is completely murdered mercilessly and the ones that were fast enough to escape dealt literally no damage, then win by annihilation by destroying the base which in normal was pretty much invincible because of its armor and raw hp. Comparable to first incarnation of Tiger Ace and what axis fanboys believe obers should be :snfPeter:

Anyway, I'm playing recently with the unit, get T1, T2, JP4 with a pair of puppchens and a shreck or two and you're set for AT, then wait for this baby and start the carnage from the FoW.

Go for an IR half track so you can snipe without having to scout, won't scare them off ;)
