The big attraction to the CoH franchise for me is the up and personal nature combined with the squad based combat. The massive increase in zoom changes how that feels on a fundamental level, and it really detracts away from the graphical increases we see this time around as much of that is erased with the camera as far away as it it. |

I'd like the idea of the new AEC on the puma actually. The puma seems like its a light tank hunter, but its current stats put it towards just poking away at max range. Its fast, with pen enough to fight light tanks and hit the rear of medium tanks effectively, while not enough to fight from the front effectively. But with such low armor and moving accuracy, it doesn't get a lot from pulling off risky aggressive flanks.
Would much prefer being aggressive with it, especially since with its low pen (compared to actual tanks) plinking away at max range vs medium and above does basically nothing. It would make sense imo to have stats that allow it to better back up medium tanks assaulting (later in the game), having better mobile accuracy letting it flank since it can actually pen from the rear. |
I could be wrong but when you upgrade with the stg package I believe it gives you all 4? If i'm right the g43 package is pretty redundant, if it did give you them it would be paying for whats mostly a downgrade.
And if the stg gives you only 2, then by upgrading both you're paying a metric ton of munis for a slightly worse pzgren (although the focus fire is pretty nifty) |

I think the okw needs a massive overhaul that goes way beyond tech increase + income buff. They are a complete mishmash right now, and have only been able to survive due to singular overpowered units (old volks blob, new isg)
The trucks are cool but the entire army needs a design rework, there's just so much wrong now |
I have never seen them used in a game vs British so maybe that is why as British tanks will give more XP than other allies ones. Highest rank I have even seen on JT was rank 3 and it was an hour long multiplayer game. I think JT is great for 3v3 but one most 2v2 and all 1v1 you can do so much better for high cost and pop cap plus the fact that it's literally worthless against infantry and support weapons

Vet 5 is pointless due to super high XP requirements to get every level of vet. The one JT I saw built in OCF was on Langres and it lasted all game vs many KV 8's yet never got past vet 2. Part of that was good shot block usage by soviet player but I noticed each connecting shot barely brought up the XP bar
Anecdotally, a few days ago I build my first JT in a long while and got it to vet 5. Churchills basically hand vet to a JT. It's fantastic vs brits who go any of the churchill variants as their main tank of choice, due to their slow speed + crazy health pools the JT has more chances to gain vet than anything else |
Regardless of balance it doesn't really feel that good right now. When I do 4v4s, whether i win or lose it seems both sides just spam stupid un-fun-to-face stuff |

Only partly true because of offmaps.
And stuff like ML-20/B4/Priest bombarding them.
Same principle applies to soviet FHQ or brit forward assembly, except these can be hardcountered for 45 muni instead of 300+.
Now everything can be defended, allied on map arty vs stuka dive is best example.
Bit of a difference between manpower only doctrinal unit that still covers large portions of map, vs fuel cost + tech bound core-building. And flame in general is toned way too high |
