Major artillery strike: Bugged or just bad?

is the worst for its cost in the game and even at vet 3 its bad.
Its slow,high cost (for what it does),is easily avoided and doesnt even deny much area.
Opinions?

No you're correct, he posted that the Min and Max values were switched, so instead of being 1-3 seconds between shells, it's always 3 seconds.
Also once I tried to stack Pathfinder and Major artillery on an OKW Flak HQ, only to find it survived with 1/3 health. I thought I was being clever, but all I did was waste all my munitions

The fake barrage is worth WAY more than the "rapid" artillery barrage

I rarely ever see this used but it can be SO useful. If you're getting steamrolled it can force the other player to hold up and give you time to recover or if you're attacking force them to reposition MGs/PAKs because they think they are about to get shelled.
That being said fixing the actual Arty would be nice. Just fixing the Max/Min values probably won't be enough. I wouldn't mind something cheaper that reflects it's actual performance that you can use to clear a building or what have you.

Seriously on of the worst abilities in the game. It's meant to make up for US lack of heavy indirect, But has been crap from day 1.

Atleast Major gains +2 shells to the artillery barrage when reaching VET 2, so maybe its somewhat useful after that?

Yes I agree with this idea. Make the arty cheaper. Why? Well the major being played actively (not being used as a really point) really does put up some utility to the forces of US, they desperately need. Him moving here and there, supporting the forces, a cheaper arty would be a perfect for the same reason as mentioned above; to stop the enemy steamroll or to keep an area sealed for infantry for a time, or even damage or help in destroying a MG nest/garrison.

Same with panzer commander in elite armored. These commander-esque units need some buffs.
On the darks days of B4 PS BS, i test the Panzer commander at it manage to kill Howitzers (i'm not sure if it still works).
Both needs a bit of love.
Either make the shells falls a bit more accurate, faster or cheaper.
