Well i didn't see that one coming. the 222 is now actually worth it. also a nerf to the guard ai

The 251 change is good, 222 still cant help countering light tanks.
Ost still needs alot work to do. Light tanks are coming, soviet has T70 SU76 and M5,USF has Stuart,OKW has Puma and Luchs, while ost has poor 222 which can be 2 shots by M5+Quad.

Yeah ost has teller mines, pak 40,and schrecks, but soviet has zis3,Guards, and mines too. So why ost must choose defending units? Is that the purpose of this new patch???Relic said they wanna increase the number of viable strategies...lol

Then we always see ost goes to schrecks and pak 40 ,yes this is what relic want players to do.

as much as I dislike the lmg42, the grenadier (and ost) are dependent on it. Conscript and rifleman can easily manhandle grenadier in the early game. On a cramped map the ost is constantly fighting an uphill battle.

Most allies light vehicle are practically immune to small arms, with the notable exception of the scout car and the ambulance. The ost might be able to defend with the pak but they are going to lose map control without a light vehicle of their own. Even with the 222 getting the 20mm by default, it's still going to lose horribly against the majority of light vehicle.

Wrong.
Grens rely on it in late game.
During early game you rely on snipers and HMGs.

Unless you play with grenspam, in which case, you're doing it wrong.

Also, as I've said, 222 isn't hard capped at 1, you really can build a second one and all lights but Stuart will be in trouble.

My dear OST.. Relic disappointed me with that act. At least give OST Tier 2 Panzer III or Marder III..

When the common BO is 3 grens (4 ?) 1-2 MG, 1 sniper, the core unit of your army is still Grens, or show us how you win with only MG's and Snipers in a decent 1v1

You're confusing core of the army with self sufficiency of a single unit type.

LMG is still needed ( i am not saying LMG on each grens ) if your ennemy is not blobbing into HMG ( as it should not ) cause vanilla grens will lose against rifles, LT, and a bigger number of Cons (and eventually Maxim, Guards, etc )

I don't understand what you've meant by bigger number of Cons, but about other things - isn't it "works as intended" that vanila grens lose to rifles, LT, Guards and Maxim (if caught in its firing arc)?

I would say just use tellers mines but they still haven't fixed the bug where the trigger box is too large compared to it's actual AoE so there pretty heavy on the rng side.

Oh, I'm lovin' it.
But bugs are bugs and by no means should affect any balance changes :)

Doesnt matter when mg42 insta-suppresses, and sniper has insane RoF. Not to mention that cons and rifles infantry strength take a steep dive in comparison to grens at the 20 minute mark.

I dont think you realise how powerful this buff is. for a meagre 40 fuel investment can basically handle any vehicle the allies throw at them. i dare say that the standard lt + m20 follow up has completely lost its edge against in the early ost vs usf matchup.
and while the 222 will not flatout counter t70 it greatly reduces its impact. The t70 can no longer go on a rampage . if a 222 gets in the rear it can take out a t70 and its a guaranteed kill if their are 2 222's.

You just ignore the fact that ost has the most expensive tech cost of 4 factions.

And most well rounded units for every single occasion and easy adaptation locked behind it without the need to choose or give up anything.

But the cost of rushing to T3 or T4 is more expensive than before. You can know it if you dont have problems with maths.
