@Aerohank & @comm_ash

Didn't think at Elite Armor doctrine from "future" point of view, but as it is now. We'll see how it will be in the future. By the way, overall good changes in the incoming patch (read it just now) except a little thing related to soviets that was pointed out in one thread around here.

Not to be a jerk but... That's not exactly a pro tip seeing as scavenge arty doesn't always kill the howi.

All the "extra" shells you get from munitions for the Scavenge artillery barrage always hit the center of the barrage so if you save up enough munitions you can actually reliably kill a Howitzer, of course it sucks you need up save up 400-500 munitions to reliable kill a 600 MP howitzer but well....better than losing the game I guess :foreveralone:

I think your math is wrong. Two t-34s will cost 370 fuel, 290 for 1. Remember soviets now have to build T3 to build T4.

you got me there i didn't notice the t34 su76 switch
yet for 1280 MP 410 fuel you get 1t34 and 1 su 85
try goingfor t2, t3and T4 as ost to get p4 and panther = 1860 m 610fuel
or 2 p4 1360mp 430fuel thats not even including t1 building 80mp 10fuel

Nice patch! Like the changes to the t34-85s, like the new Ostheer teching and building freedom. Like the new additions to OKW and them finally having medium non call in armor. Like the fact that the t34-76 is finally a viable economical option again. Great freaking job Lelic, finally after all these months you come with something that is worthy of recognition.

But why leave USF out? They are still a boring faction xd

So the OKW gets vet 2 Panzer IVs off the bat with skirts (minus blitz)?

I guess that makes sense though as the Panzer IV will most likely be the same price as the Ostheer equivalent (see Panther prices).

Why do you think a tank with superior stats would be equal in cost to inferior one is beyond me.

It'll cost 145 fuel. That 230 armor doesn't come for free.

Also for OKW P4 skirts were never part of vet, it was always upgrade.

Are those numbers set? Well, Ill just save 30 fuel and get a Panther.

I thought the skirts might be free, because until now the OKW Panzer IV was underpowered and they tried to make it attractive. Further with the fuel penalty nobody will build a more expensive Panzer IV to handle one medium.

In the alpha it was 135 fu, and it was pretty good then. Its an infantry support tank, not an AT tank, so now you will have an option for lategame AI, instead of going for the more specialist panther every game.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooope. False.

Me and Lemon tried literally EVERY OKW off-map in game against howis via cheat mod.

Even with 9999 muni you're not guaranteed a kill. (I believe there's actually a cap on how many extra shells it shoots anyways)

Shit really? Man can't catch a break no matter what doctrine you chose. Did the chance of the howitzer dying at least go up when you called in the ability with more munitions?

I actually did kill a howitzer in a recent game I had;

It's going to be 135 fuel. So essentially 10 extra fuel for the skirt upgrades. Oh and the veterancy for the Ausf J is still the same so it get's really powerful really fast as it's vet reduces the scatter by a lot.

Unlocks the 'Combat Blitz' ability
+60% turret rotation speed, -25% scatter
-30% reload, +20% rotation speed, +10% ac/de-celeration
+12.5% range, -25% scatter
+53.85% accuracy when moving, +45.8% sight range

Mhm. I hope Relic removes the ability for you to build howis in base, or gives them lower range. So you could actually push and kill it with AT guns or tanks.

Like those howitzers from singleplayer with 100 range?, lame, i prefer my howitzers with 225 range

they should just block the base sector. wouldn't stop people building them in front of the base MGs but at least the won't be behind them.

course the brits will always be in the base sector...

Question: Soviets have to build T3 first so they can build T4, is this correct?

PIV for OKW makes my eyes water of joy.

Exactly what this faction needed to become well-rounded. Medium armor.

Been playing the patch since yesterday, and everything feels rly good. This year's coh2 meta development will be quite exiting imho.

In contrary to vcoh, coh2 gets better with each expansion. Thus I m really looking forward to the british faction.

RTS fans finally have something to look forward to. :)

Really pessimistic about the patch. Soviet and Ostheer teching changes are great, but everything else? Meh.

-Ostheer will play pretty much the same, but with more flexibility and also having to deal with Light tanks really early on. Commanders? Elite Troops, Mobile Defense, (lower CP Puma kappa) and a wildcard.

-Soviets will require teching. The Maxim doesn't suck. Yay. Commanders? Guard motor, Shock frontline, ML20 of your choice.

-USF entire faction meta will revolve around heavy RE start into fast Stuart, mark my words. Instead of patching holes in the faction (like T1, um, sucking, bazookas sucking, etc) Relic just gave them access to the best light tank ingame really, really early. Commanders? Actually quite flexible, just not Recon Bug Company.

-OKW will go BHQ every game, because ISG>Maxim, cheaper Sturms need to be healed, and of course free maphack. Also, because going Mech HQ against the 60 fuel Captain is suicide. Anyway, after BHQ it'll be fast PIV, which at Vet 4 becomes a mini-Tiger Ace in wiping ability. Commanders? MG34 ones.

You have to be pretty much braindead to be caught by a CAS strike now.

Not sure about the Panzer IV for OKW. Looks like a heavier medium now, that beats T-34/85s and can kill infantry quite reliably.

Panzer IV > KT for late-game anti infantry now.

So you mean it's balanced compared to other abilities now? That's great!
