Also relating to the patch notes(my personal opinion):
It's a good patch, lets not deny this.......however...
2/5 of the alpha changes at best are still missing, with an account on some other side things as well(*cough* doctrines *cough* irregulars/ostruppen/partysans*cough*)
Relic deciding to throw us a curve ball and wait until September to give us all these alpha changes is mind-boggling at best, because I don't want to wait 2 months for a *********** that we could have now....but Relic likes to take things

Could someone please explain what they mean for the Soviet AA Halftrack's "Requirements for Quad Upgrade Removed" only thing I can think of is that it means you no longer need to spend 100 MU to upgrade and it's free now... but that doesn't sound right.

On a side note the changes to Maxim and DSHK are a welcome sight and should encourage better Soviet Combined Arms instead of opening with Con Spam

It means you don't need to build T3 or T4 to be able to upgrade.

No it seems balanced, it's just weird. Like the IR half track not costing fuel even it clearly runs on fuel, not Nazi dark science. Or a Molotov Cocktail sharing the munitions cost of a smoke grenade, or Infiltration Grenades costing a third of the price of a normal grenade. Like its all balanced, just weird if you think of it like real life.

It costs less because they nicked them from another company in the battalion. That's the infiltration part.

Welcome changes all 'round.

I very much doubt maxim spam will come back what with cheap Lieg and Ost sniper.

before you needed T3 structure to upgrade. even M5 quad from M4C commander required T3 tech to upgrade.

i am sure that is what it meant.

Didn't see any stat improvement for the pack howy so it is still completely shitty. I have try to make use of it but it barely touch any target. Too RNG.
Not sure I'm gonna buy it because it is cheaper now.

Stuart is not really king of anything, it is a "not that bad unit" but doesn't make the investment interesting compared to T70 and Luch. Stuart was interesting because of early dominance of Mg42 and fast P4, now the medium are a bit delayed, T1 is probably becoming viable again.
Later medium also means for USF having more trouble to deal with LMG42/volks shreck spam.

I don't really understand why all those changes but nothing for the USF to diversify its opening and an easier access to an AT platform like any other faction.

Imo, USF is going to be more T1 / half-track (cheaper and faster to build than the Stuart and have better impact vs inf) + BAR/Zook upgrade to counter any eventual light vehicle. or simply as usual skip light vehicle for a fast sherman, it cost 30 fu more but you save 15 fu with the BAR/Zook, so only 15 fu. Building an early fuel is going to be more important now.

Last point, seeing how USF is still paper tank, delaying them means more counters ready when they hit the field.

It's just odd to me seeing a medium tank cost marginally more than a light vehicle, authenticity wise.

Well, the T34/76 is only marginally better than a light vehicle so... :snfPeter:

Nice patch it seems...

The only thing that is a bit weird is the costreduction of the leig because of its poor performance, but not changing its pop.
Oh well maybe it´s just me...

Man aren't you just sunshine and rainbows. The Stuart will now come faster than any other Light Tank in the entire game. With heavy meta completely dead the USF AT gun will finally have a plethora of targets for it to chew on.

nice patch notes :)

The only missing part IMO, is to decrease the battlephase requirement for the flame HT upgrade!

new meta pio+mg42 spam/maxim spam :*(

I hope the T34/85 isn't going to be the same cost as the 76...

It will probably cost the same as the Advance Warfare T34-85 400mp 140f (?)

Actually if you'd like to bring up authenticity, the T-34 only cost marginally more to make than the T-70. They actually ended T-70 production at the end of 1943 because of this and because Armoured Cars were cheaper.

Thanks for the info Alex. Looks like the maxim will be in good shape now. Ostheer will need to counter with snipers or mortars instead of just vet2 rifle nades. OKW will need to counter them with either IR halftrack with sturmpio flanks and/or the leIG, or go for the AaHT or stuka.

Garrison-facing was enough of a buff that I have been enjoying Maxims a lot more lately. the suppresion buff is pure gravy and should, for better or worse, make Maxim spam real again. Jellydonut patch confirmed.

Nice changes overall.

Will the is allies changes will be enough to contain Axis infantry rush + hmg42 + mortars. (3v3+)

CAS changes look cool.

Soviets build will be more streamlined...

Panzer 4 will should have good time...

More after field testing..

i killed an ostwind soley with one stewie. ostwind was over extending to kill my teammate's snipers but still. double stewie actually does quite well against mediums and weak heavies using stun shots one after another. and its infantry killing power is serviceable at the least.

i think all the light tanks and 222 should be like this. able to handle mediums when outnumbering and used right. it is sad to see light tanks so grossly outmatched by mediums.

the stuart (t70 and su76) will arrive earlier due to the tech change. I'm not really keen on having to fight the light tanks with nothing but panzergrenadiers, grenadiers, and pak.

I think the allies 1v1 meta is going to revolve around light vehicle rush to shut down the ost.

I'm not a fan of the tech change in general.
