The P4 is not expected to deal with callins. The P4 is expected to punish your enemy for waiting for callins.

Yes, and with a 2, or lets be generous 3 cp window in the case of 85s it does not do the job. At least I've seldom seen it work given skill parity.

I'll let you in to a terrible secret: Tier 3 is still incapable of dealing with call-ins.:)
In fact even more so since you can't just defuse rushes by fausting....
As I've stated before, PIV is nice enough per se, but against the usual hurr durr Guard motor 85/E-8 spam its suicidal.

Stugs are viable against these tanks. and you can quickly gain map control if your opponent waits for callins.

IV got a massive buff quite a while ago which made it massively better than the 34/76 in all aspects. what you're seeing now is the result of those changes.

This meta hasn't helped, the Soviet player can get 2 T34/85s by the time the Ost player gets 1 P4, and with mark target called in, it gets beat.

That is not true, i got 2 P4s 1-2 minutes before my opponent got his 85s.
Your argument is not 100% valid.

Ah, I mus-calculated, but I think the P4 is ok right now and need any buffs or nerfs.

I wouldn't mind seeing it trade some armour for penetration, then it can 'fight up' more effectively at the cost of not completely overshadowing the T-34/76.

Yeah even though it costs more than a t34/76. The t34 should have an equal chance to kill a p4 as a p4 has killing a t34/76. Ya whoa

1 game i got 13 1 shot sq wipe from sherman HE shell, and today another game it just wiped all my infantry in 5 shots with HE shell, 5 sqs, first shot wipe 2 sq turn around 1 shot a sq, 1 shot another sq, and chase my retreating last sq, and 2 shot it. i don't see any p4 with this kind AI power. so P4 is fine..

um, given that the game has very, very low granularity for tanks that's most likely going to effectively be the case, unless the 34/76 becomes infantry slanted. that would be fine but i haven't heard anything about that.
