Did anyone notice the line about the Sturmtiger for the Elite Armored Doctrine or the last line of the Schwer Panzer HQ saying about producing PzIVs? Seems like these changes were left out. So PzIV a core build and Sturmtiger a doctrinal call-in.

It is confirmed. I don't have link right now but some Relic guy said that more drastic changes are occurring in future patches.

Okw needs a stop gap tank before the panther so its a nice change. If only relic will implement the other tech changes as well

I would prefer the kingtiger as a call in for the elite armor. Also pz IV should be good in T3

Yeah it was one of the alpha changes that relic pussied out of this patch. Sturmtiger was supposed to get buffed and put in elite armored while panzer4 ausf Js were buildable.

I was in alpha and I didn't really use them, all I remember is the switch. Hopefully the changed text indicates this change will happen sometime down the road.

PIV and Sturmtiger switch would be amazing. It would indirectly buff Spec Ops and Elite Armor if you could make PIV's with a command Panther or use Elite without having to hoard fuel for dual PIV's.

Exactly, Sturmtiger is soooo situational it should have been in a doctrine in the first place. PzIV is a good all around tank which the OKW needs. OKW has too many specialist units and not enough jack-of-all-trades, which the PzIV fills perfectly. It would help them out quite a bit.
