and late game there are a lot of different ways to deal with lmg blobs. is mid game where theyre the strongest really.

The biggest problem for allied HMGs is the rifle-nade, while the biggest problem for axis mgs is defensive stance. I don't expect much to change.

DPs and lmg34s are pretty tame, as they are not as powerful as the gren lmg42/dual m1919, due to requiring expensive base squads.

Ye, buff mg + lmg its be very hard to counter, so imo lmg need change, little nerf or more hight price.

i think lengthening aim time depending on MG would help. (34, lowest, M1919 highest)

Againts OKW blobbing it does help, but againts ostheer it makes 0 difference until riflegrenades get nerfed/changed in some way.

LMG42 is just right atm, M1919 and BAR is not, the fact they can fire while moving and each sq can carry two is broken too many time my unit run into USF lmg blob my infantry sq got wipe under 3-5secs as they chase my unit with bulletstorm even i hit retreat the sec saw the blob


M1919 have worse stats then LMG42 and bigger cost. Paras M1919 can fire on the move, but accuracy is so low that it could be labeled as visual effect only.
BAR isn't LMG, its more of assault rifle that can drop.

Biggest problem with USF M1919s are weapon racks, which allow dual M1919s, but you can't change that without changing all LMGs for consistency and giving it 2 weapon slot requirement(which would result for example in grens not being able to pick anything when they have LMG).

Here we go again with this lmg false problem. All Allied fanboys (including OP) are agreing with this kind of nerf because it would be in fact an indirect nerf to both axis factions. Both lmg34 and lmg42 are better than allied lmgs AS THEY SHOULD BE from thousands of reasons related to meta balance: squad numbers, difference in effectiveness from distance point of view, squad abilities while carrying the lmg, etc.
Meanwhile the lmg is the only weapon making grenadiers OR obersoldaten worthy.

A nerf to lmgs - no matter if they are axis' or allieds' will render them not worthing the investments.

Personally I think LMG's should just deliver a give a flat DPS at all ranges, they'd still be better at range by default because all other weapons fall off.

LMGs are fine and not even worth it on some maps (Stalingrad) for a lot of CQC squads there is smoke for them to close(Riflemen, Shocks).
