Mines do squad wipes, OH and OKW mines too. Rifle grenades wipe squads. You lose a squad or two in any game. But if you don't blob up too much spamming demos ain't gonna be an issue.

As I told Alex this is mostly an issue OKW blobbers face. Also OKW Strums are the only engies who can toggle their sweepers thus not losing any combat efficency.


It does punish blobbers, yes. It also punishes players who don't blob.

It punishes OKW and OH. It can't punish the allied factions (who also have plenty of blobbing) because axis don't have it.


Would you like to see your expensive elite infantry deleted one by one? Would you enjoy not being able to harrass points because there is probably demo?


I'm against blobbing but I think there are better ways to dissuade players from doing it than demo. I don't think either faction should have it. Squad delete buttons go against fun gameplay.

Yea me too.

I dont blob at all,just to let you know .I am not sure how familiar you are with the game but i am not talking about vanilla units(vet 0),i mean vetted squads who are capping during the heat of battle and then get blown up.
Sir,would you call that outplayed ?
Btw another issue is okws sweepers only have 5 range,which means if you sweep an area you may overlook one.Its like you are a farmer seeding his plants and have to go over every inch of land just to be sure to not a have sneaky mine or demo in your territory.

Sigh, I did not say you were outplayed. I am saying this kinda stuff happens man, in real war and in a game that is RNG dependent. Demos have been in the game from day one

First of all,reveal and show me your playercard.
OKW rarely do,OH has signs with a skull on it to remind you to no walk into.
Riflenades can be avoided by playing well.
The cases you are mentioning are just because of bad decision making and/or lack of skill.
To sum up,all of your arguements are redundant.


I dont blob and its still sometimes an issue for me.

I'd rather dont have that ability and instead get a bigger radius.

Do we need to insult each other's English? It doesn't seem relevant.


Demo has been in the game since day one, it doesn't make it good. Can you be honest and say you've played a lot of game vs soviets using demo? From the bottom of my heart, if you haven't, please believe me, it's really an unpleasant experience. Might I recommend you try playing 20-30 games right now as OKW? You might see what some of the forum users are saying. gameplay is suffering from certain things and demo is certainly one of them.

You can continue to complain about my english,it wont change the fact that i currently deem you as a noob.
Demos are no rng wth you are even talking about ? Forget it,make up your mind,play some games as axis against mine and demo spammer then we can talk further.

Extactly true ^^^ not to mention Wehrmacht mines have a potential for squad wipes for muni as well.

You didn't notice it, same as when a grenade wiped your squad because you're not omniscient.

Alternatively, the sneaky bugger planted them on your retreat path. Always be wary of Pioneers behind your troops.

Mine intelligently. S mines are great for retreat path wipes, you will be surprise how many squads can be wiped.

Well it was kinda funny, 'reveal and show me' very harry potterish or porn movish. I have not played much OKW games coz they are boring and repetitive. And I play as Soviets most of the time, thus i am a bit biased towards them.

However, specialy in 2v2 matches, demos seem to be the only way to deal with the the blob.

See, when I play against OH, I hardly use demos. But when I play against OKW, I always use demos because I know my opponent would blob. Do I think blobbing can be eradicated? Nah, remember the PE blob in CoH 1? They in fact got incentives to blob. And demos and mines are the only proper blob counters we have, unless you are OKW where you get a bigger blob

Had relic made it an upgrade from the start, then they could have easily changed the upgrade value every patch if required, depending largely on the changes they made to infantry and support weapons.

I mean, just about every ability in every faction needs to be upgraded in some manner so why not demos. I simply do not understand the logic behind the decision given the effect it can have. It simply reinforces my view that relic wants to appeal to simpletons, whilst believing the rest of the community will just suck it up..

OKW design is simply broken. There really is little choice except to spam which quickly leads to blobbing on many maps. In regard to OST i generally only see it if OST player goes heavy lmg gren spam and the sov player decides to not go elite inf, or 120, or T70.

But it still seems logical that is should be a strategic decision based on what sov player is facing rather than some spur of the moment act of cheese simply because munis are available.

Erm, rifle nade, LMG upgrade, faust?

Well I guess the problem is the OKW design then? Demos really help you deal with the OKW blob and its the OKW player who blobs that is greatly punished by mines or demos. Insane ? Hardly!

All the upgrades you mention require a building or tech. Soviets can build infantry from T0 and plant demos with no building or tech upgrades whatsoever so don't make this a sov vs ost teching debate as that is not the issue.

Most Okw players opt for flak halftrack since the last patch, so blobs are nowhere near as prolific as they once were. Also Obers and shreck blobs have also been nerfed, so why hasn't the counter..

I haven't asked for the demo to be nerfed, rather that some kind of cost / vet be attached to its use.

Soviets are without doubt the strongest faction and as such can endure some small nerfs.

One LMG gren squad harrasses a point. Blows up. 90 munitions - 75 for lmg = 15 munitions for a 240mp unit. If he went elite troops and spent 80mp + 25 fuel to vet him then its 15 muntions against 320mp + 25 fuel. Demos don't need blobs to pay themselves off. Honestly. You wanna have a pioneer with every squad you have???
