that's because EVERYTHING for USF (bar RETs) costs at least 250 mp. and 250 is the ambulence. infantry (again, bar RETs) are at least 280.

The 10 pop and fuel for Ambulance is also really painful (separate issues but regardless). I'd practically wish Major didn't exist if I didn't have to deal with that for healing.

Becasue I dont get your question.

Shock and Obers are kinda equal. Both perfect AI, one with armor, one with Matrix abilities, one with hug-range, one with amazing long-range and amazing vet.

STEP I

1. What shocks do and how they perform for what amount of resources?
2. Same question as above, but related to Obers.

STEP II

1. Add +60 amo lmg 34 for Obers.
2. Repeat actions at STEP I.

Conclusion: do you accept the trade or not?

Shocks can charge and wipe at hug range.
Obers can wipe as well wihout charging but they are little more expensive.

60 ammo for best weapon in game while 60 ammo for BAR as well.

You can't simple compare then cause they have similar role but they are executing this role in different ways; overall Obers are better than Shocks. Obers have better utility.

I don't understand the big deal with Shocks; they rarely wipe and concentrated LMG fire; the meta for every other faction in the game can beat them unless they spam smoke grenades. Without the Smoke they would be underpowered, with it they are fine.

Unlike Obers who have barely been nerfed.

From what I have seen so far, OKW players have effectively stopped to rely on Ober to spam more volks + sturmpio/jaegersfusillers/falls... I guess the problem comes also from the people who just prefer spam an A-move blob than use combined arms.

OKW faction, appart from all the combined arms options it offers to play will remain the A-move blob's players favorite faction.

Yep, this is due to the faction design. Relic must redesign this faction. But we all know they won't...

The reason blobbing is too effective for OKW is that their infantry is specialised and can do anything, need AT? Get some volks, need AI? Get Fals/JLI/Obers/Fusiliers. Mainly its the volks, they are cheap and are able to get the best handheld AT in the game, perhaps they could get rid of schreck on volks, give them a faust and MP40 upgrade like vcoh. they could move the schreck to a more expensive squad, maybe Obers (a bit weird, I know) or give it to sturms, being more expensive should reduce the amount of schrecks that can be blobbed.

Come off it, putting all the blame for blobbing on OKW is ridiculous. Have you seen the Elite Riflemen flamer blobs? The conscript PTRS blobs?

Before patch, I was building Obers maybe one time in four OKW games. I don't think they were that necessary and I don't realy feel this change as a nerf. In fact, I don't feel any nerf at all with OKW, but the idea that such a unit with such a big price and an upgrade that you pay amo for performs as now, doesn't seem to ok today. They should lower their price a bit, that wouldn't harm anybody.

I think I would. But it depends on map, tech etc. so it's not that easy, yet overall Obers are better so I guess I would.

That's very good change but now we have Volks+Fusi blob or Volks+Falls blob etc so in fact nothing has changed except. That design :foreveralone:
Although Volks->Obers->Panther was boring meta. Now we have Volks->Fusi->Jadgpanzer for example, so it's good change.

Ok. Then be advised that I will trash your Obers with my shocks anytime, anywhere, anyhow on every map you can think of and you won't win one engagement. With or without your 60 amo upgrade.
