Where did he say that? How do you know Relic didnt let him go or he didnt find a better job?
Trolling aside this is a good explanation why we didnt/wont have any balance or any serious redesign for at least for another month or two. I am sure his successor has been already working with him for some time to get an idea of how things work so I am sure its going to take some time before we see something out of the new team.

Even if this was true, why would this be a bad thing?
Is this not how businesses operate? If a consumer base is not satisfied with a product, and the developer of the product is not able to fix the issue, should he not be replaced?

I somewhat doubt that one stream would make him quit, that gives way too much credit to Incontinent Howler Monkeys
It's very much more likely that he knew he was leaving anyway, and that's why we got a stream with little content

Piero hasn't been at Relic for quite some time. They have an issue with getting visas for their employees who come from overseas.

That sucks. :/ But he doesn't have to be in Canada to publish his thoughts on balance and what his philosophy is.
I haven't seen any new requests for Balance designers but I suspect that they'll recruit internally for such a position.
Ps. Recruiting a new Community manager as of the 15th? Didn't they just do that?

Piero left shortly after the game was released in 2013. Relic only hire people who can work on site. They won't hire anyone who can't.
