I remember that in Alpha stage (before the game release) there was ability that worked like in CoH1 for USA, but for soviets it gave you T34/76 each time you lost tank (up to 3 tanks?). so where did it go? :snfBarton:

If you lose 3 T-34 sounds like something heavy is on the other side and a new T-34 might not help. I'm guessing it got scrapped probably to promote better unit preservation? Though it would be cool if it was still around

Relic scrapped so much good stuff from CoH1.

I miss the Allied War Machinery, good emplacements (not this shitty Flak-Emplacement that brings nothing), Flak 36 EightEight, booby traps like the ones you could set up in buildings and not those ones from Obersoldaten, Hummel, Jagdpanther, Inspired Assault or Zeal, For the Fatherland (nice for Defense Doctrine), where the fuck are the Rangers?, and and and...

There is so much Relic could do

No better way to spoil an otherwise-watchable match than going Allied War Machine and forcing your opponent to purposefully not kill your tanks!

But hell, bring it back, as long as activating it puts a giant :snfBarton: in the middle of the user's screen for the next 5 minutes.

I think it would be a fun ability to use. They should bring it back

If it comes with a good price it would be fine versus OKW.

I do not know how Ostheer is going to manage that T34 spam.

Allied war machine was one of the most bitched about abilities in CoH 1, right up there with zombie grens. I thought we were trying to get away from mechanics that encouraged unit loss, negated unit preservation or forced stupid tactical stuff on your opponent (like intentionally not killing the enemy)

Zombie Grens encourage unit loss because it turns cheap Volks into strong Grens.

AWM does not, it is just a play-save reload while you fucked up, with a cost. Axis can counter it with intentionally NOT shooting Allies armour, which is really fun to watch and play.

Allied war machine is such a horrid idea that I'm compelled to post.

NO!

Rewarding a player for throwing away units was not fun in the first game and it won't be fun in this one. There is no need for it.

Allied war machine was that OP? it could replace tank what you've lost up to 2, so it could be pershing or M8 for 200munitions so price was fair enough. Soviet war machine was giving you T34 for each lost medium or heavy tank and as we know T34 isn't that great

There will probably be an Axis War Machine in a future commander

Elite armour doc should have it, it is overall a bad design doc.

It's gone because it was poorly designed. You can't have a game about unit-preservation and micro have a button that resurrects any lost units (even if for a short period of time).

Just use your tanks better and support them. T34-rush/spam is bad enough as it is; I don't even want think about what it would be like to kill 3-T34's only to have them all show up AGAIN 10 seconds later.
