In another back and forth fight the Jackson finally edged out the IV/70 for the Tank Destroyer Slot with 39% meaning the US finally get on the scoreboard

We are unable to build caches, but Grenadiers can build bunkers and Sturms can salvage

Tech structure will be similar to OKH, but costs will not necessarily be the same

Breakdown is:

OKW 5
OKH 3
Sov 2
USF 1

Now, light AFV.

I am taking out the very lightest of vehicles (Ambulance, M3, Kubel etc) and adding in the light tanks

I said the M5 Halftrack last time and I will say it again:

On field reinforcement + Flak Conversion.

There are options that give you either of those, but not both

T70 of course!
-Wrecks infantry
-Fast speed, small target size
-Somewhat cheap
-Can kill light vehicles reliably (luchs cannot)
-Recon mode
-Capture mode harassment


To OP: Why there are same vehicles in light vehicle poll?

I voted t70 because its a light vehicle that can do damage and complements our current t3 quite wel. The reason I picked it over a luchs is because the y70 comes much earlier, and is capable of engaing slightly heavier armor, while retaining its anti-infantry.

It is a good vehicle, but it will come extremely late with T4 in this faction, as it will have the Ostheer teching system. If the fuel prices are also to be normalized for OKW units, it will mean 75 fuel for the Luchs; in comparison to Ostwind still not outrageous, but something to consider. Considering this I don't understand why there are so many votes for the Luchs.

T-70 would be the obvious option if this faction don't have puma(winner of the light vehicle poll) already, Puma is better against vehicles and Luch is better against infantry. Puma sight range makes Recon mode pointless and capture mode alone is not enough to justify T70.

Because nobody is really clear on Tech/Resource of this faction and the OP did a really poor job explaining the them. Check the MG poll to see that OP said that this faction can jump tech(T1-T3/T2-T4,etc) like Sov.

It doesn't strike me that this faction needs more AI, especially not AI that costs fuel

OKW have the best MP only AI option(Ober) yet Luch was still used a lot even in high level play. There are just some time you need that mobile & small arm resistant AI AFV to take care of snipers/mortars, flank AT guns shielded by MGs, chase down retreating squads etc.

The Luchs at T4 with an ostheer style tech structure would very rarely get used, i think. It's amazing at its current place but i don't think it would fit in this faction.

Edit: And now i see that this isn't an ostheer style tech structure and in that case i regret not voting for it.

Faust+Pak40+Puma should be enough AT until Jackson hit the field. Super heavies that Jackson+Pak40 can't handle can be B4ed.
