I dont see why not. I think more light vehicles should have access to smoke to allow them to be preserved. They are a pretty big investment.

Good point , I wish that developers take this for next balance patch

I remember in beta they had a triple tiered smoke release that just shot smoke everywhere. That shit was absurd.

But yeah, I think moving smoke to like vet 1 instead of having it out of the box would make Soviet T3 more viable vs OKW. As it stands now, I think the smoke is too much of a get out of jail card for Pumas against AT guns. Especially when you consider that it can take 3 shots from ZiS / 57 mm and having a speed faster than the T70. Idk though, sounds good on paper, but might make the puma too vulnerable. Who knows. Could be cool to try in a mod or something.

all other light vehicles/tanks, baring the M8 Scott, have smoke at vet0. i think tanks are the same way.

Apparently only Germany discovered smoke launcher technology during WW2.

How about M20 not having smoke before vetting up? Is that fair? I don't think so either

Why would that not be fair? Id like to think that that should apply to everything.

That could be good, but then it definitely decreases the reliability and hence the use of these units in the game.

In fact Puma does not need smoke that much at vet 0. As OKW all you can face is AT gun, Stuart, Rifles with bazooka :foreveralone:, M20 or AA truck. No big deal for Puma. On the other hand, M20 has to deal with homing schrekcs and Puma since it hits the field (Puma can enter ~1min after M20). So M20 need smoke at vet 0. Puma need it only when Shermans/T34 appear because it's superior to t1/t2 units.

yeah, it doesn't need smoke so bad, so it can come at vet 1 I guess.

yes, but what about late pumas?

i understand people's issue with the puma smoke but i think it should stay vet0. i really wish more light vehicles had access to smoke but OKH is kind of screwed in that regard because it's already doctrinal.
