Any guesses on when the patch will drop? since it is in final internal testing, perhaps the patch will land this coming week?

Probably some time next week. Most likely tuesday.

I agree that Relic deserves credit for the free new maps being put into automatch rotation.

My only issue with Relic is their slowness in getting community made maps into automatch rotation. There are some damn fine maps out there made by some quality map makers. Quite frankly, mapmakers are extremely under appreciated IMHO by Relic and even somewhat by the community. I've personally used world builder to make a map and its very time consuming work with little to no recognition. If they made an effort to add even 8 maps a year (2 for 1v1, 2 for 2v2, etc) that would be a MAJOR improvement and would require almost no effort from Relic.

Just my opinion.

Even updating the old COH maps would be great. So many great battles on Montargis Region, or Route N13.

Lol it sounds like politics but yes they do. I don't think they would be able to do exactly everything they say but I would like to know what they wanna do.

They're hesitant to unveil their plans for the month, I think 5 years is a bit much to ask :D

Relic totally needs to unveil a 5 Year Plan for COH2

They announced it a while ago
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2014-05-29-relics-five-year-plan-for-company-of-heroes-2

They just didn't write a good plan. I'm basing that on:

1) the general feeling on this forum and the official forums. Players are unhappy and leaving.

2) my feeling when I play the game and struggle with bugs and RNG.

3) a comparison with other games of the same genre that have playerbases 5/10/100 times the size. For the amount of money that has been invested in CoH2 the return must be pathetic.

Either the plan is wrong or there is no plan - personally I think they just thought "Oh we heard this term once in a documentary about the soviet union and we have a soviet army, let's use it!" Gimmicks and super-units, that's what gamers want!

5 years is too long. They'll be lucky to survive 1 if they don't sort themselves out and fix their product.

Lol they have already pissed off parts of the community with their crappy updates and bugs. I think the envisioned players constantly buying DLC, but even the players got sick of that.

If she keeps on like that I will like her!

She is totally right, but if you look around: Most of the scrubs from the community won't be able to understand

"Oh, people they don't understand
No, girlfriends, they won't understand
Your grandsons, they won't understand
And me, I ain't ever gonna understand"
