Guards are bad against infantry - although they have a DP
Guards are bad against tanks - although they have PTRD

Guards must be highly specialized:
- Or guards against infantry at long range - 6 people with Mosin rifle, with the upgrade to 2 DP (DP should be equal B1919)
- Or guards against tanks - 2 PTRD, AT grenades, ability: shoot at vulnerable points with PTRD

And are looking forwards to the release of the expansion pack after Ardennes Assault, which is now the focus of the development team, so neither release or balancing of Ardennes will be supported for the immediate future.

To be fair this is a minor change that people want to one specific unit. Please don't devalue our distaste of Relic not talking to us about the bugs.

Just make PTRS effective vs infantry. In theory PTRS is a rifle, just like a mosin, it simply fires a high velocity armor penetrating shell. Just like a 50 cal sniper?
Basically what I said :P
In theory you could add a second 'ghost' weapon to the PTRS that fires a separate invisible rifle bullet that functions similarly to a normal rifle.

A PTRS is 2 metres long...

That would be some holster.

I strongly feel Guards are underpreforming in the current meta. With DP's dmg much less than it has been in previous patches and with Button Ability severely nerfed, there isn't much left to get them for, cause PTRS are garbage vs light vehicles, with their incredibly long aim/wind up time, low dmg and relatively slow rate of fire and accuracy vs moving targets (as light vehicles are rarely stationary in combat vs AT weapons).

Heavy 3-point strap?

The halftrack guards squad is a pretty good example of how guards COULD play. Less effective point blank DPS and survivability compared to shocks, but with the option of upgrading to a BUFFED PTRS to push off light vehicles. (Is it possible to get special rear modifiers in this game, IE "rear" shots at medium or less range has X chance to immoblize tanks with button increasing odds of track shots? I feel this would go a LONG way to improving Allies ability to terrify JTs or KTs if they had to FEAR closing allied infantry more than they do now. Maybe even add a reverse modifier, the heavier the armor the more likely to suffer immobilized crit due to overstressed suspension?)

Minesweeper I can imagine folding or collapsing.

Can't do that with a PTRS; it's enough of a handful that I can't see someone carrying that and a normal rifle

Quick image search suggests either no other weapon or an SMG

PTRS getting stronger bonuses vs. rear armor is definitely an interesting proposal.
