Pathfinding is just terrible... Simple reverse cause rotation. Just watch this... I clicked reverse in 3sec to this straight road behind Jackson. When I saw what my Jackson was doing I commanded to move forward (to the back of E8). No need to say more, just check it.
I lost too many units cause of this rotation issue...

This is reason, why USF sucks late in team battles. One rush PzG and your Jakcskons are in dust.
Jacksons only shine in open space.

I pretty much agree. Jackson pathing is the most frustrating thing about CoH2 and is the primary reason why USF seems to underperform so badly during the late-game. I can't count the number of times my Jacksons have eaten multiple pak rounds because they've decided to spin in place instead of actually reversing away.

I had my IS-2 do this, on ice, in front of a Jagdtiger. Needless to say, we lost.

I wonder if its due to the recent change in tank path finding so they don't get stuck?

I've noticed that reverse is even more finicky than before the patch.

Had this happen to me with JagdTiger yesterday. Of course the unit died as it slowly rotated around and I furiously issued new orders, but by the time it had started to do the right thing a Sherman was behind it. GG relic, gg.

It has plagued the series since vCoH. It's partially the reason why I don't enjoy the game as much as I should, it's absolutely awful.

Yeah it is bad sometimes. I have chalked a few rage quits up to pathfinding.

Reading this, I feel almost guilty that weeks ago, I had to take in hand a thread entitled "Fucking Parthing". Still, at least you peeps are better mannered -and you're making the same point, just as effectively :)

And here we go again. I just clicked to reverse to the road behind building. I wonder what my driver was drinking.

Lost a game because of that :gimpy:





I wonder why pathing problems are mostly occur with USF... The most fragile units that need great pathing have the worst pathing :drool:

Use the reatreat button for reverse or tanks will autorotate.
