I see you have yet to learn what HMG42 is and what does it do to rifles.


the mg42 is actually very much needed. no matter how nonsense you sprout. it doesnt change the fact that the ostheer will be severely outnumbered early game not to mention the m20 or quad has a rahter major impact on the early midgame.

to be honest 4vs4 and 3vs3 should not be discussed when it comes to balance. because its nearly fucking impossible. best way to balance okw in such game is to reduce the income form caches by 60%

Please, explain to me how a 280mp unit outspammed your 240mp units while both M20 and quad arrive after you can get T2, at worst M20 arrives at the same time as 222 and 222 eats it.

I'm going to grab popcorn meanwhile, because it will be a good one.

Remember Ostheer needs to build T1 and tech to T2 then build it, so that delays their Grenadiers, 222s etc. USF don't need to build their buildings, just tech them.

Not by much, but it still counts.

Don't forget they get also an additional unit for teching, something no other faction gets. Only comparable faction is OKW, where the base buildings fullfill some purpose.

Everything after 2nd gren/rifle is in favor of Ost, unless you want to go for sniper, so nothing is really delayed.

That matchup seems pretty well balanced to me atm, simply better one wins(trying to grenspam against USF is the opposite of 'better').

You just full of it. teching cost for the ost is 440 mp . the usf teching is basically mp free as you gain a lr or cpt. thats nearly 2 squads. then comes the issue that you need to get a pak out and you are nearly 760 mp in the red.

and the popcorn is delicious as i predicted you would act the way you do.

I think it is time to reintroduce the lovely Knights Cross units, but let us not haste to conclusion. The ability to buy their vet should be reintroduced as well. This would of course not harm the game in any way. Also I would like to see these Heroic Knights Cross warriors to be outfitted with some nice lmg42s and panzershrecks. A 5 man squad will suffice.

This is not even fucking remotely funny. Despite whining about the kubel the ost vs usf is hilariously in favour for the usf more so then the okw has against the usf. the most expensive tech vs the cheapest tech. m20 and quads can come out before you can get a pak on the field. and of course the superiority of rifles early game.

late game is not as weak as some people wish to believe. the jackson in my opnion is the best td in the game right now.

u can also do 2v2s as allies now, im waiting for matches as ostheer

Just Katitoff being Katitoff, USF vs Ost is hands down WTFpwning Ostheer T1 in first 6 minutes. Ostheer can only gain the advantage back after Pak and LMG42.

Using very little number of Grens in T1, relying on good defence of support weapon, making a stalemate at the time interval of the USF OPness, after T2, swarm them back with Pak and LMG42 seems the only way to play. If Rifles can bleed Ost a lot of manpower, the Pak will be delayed a lot, the super early M20 gonna kill everything.

So you're saying Volks are better than Rifles? Please look at the balance of this game from an objective viewpoint. The OKW are simply under powered since most of their units get wrecked by Russian and US units. For example, I lose Obersoldatens and Volks to conscripts and Shock Troops a lot of the time, and you're telling me that the OKW is OP? I know what directional cover is and I know how to play CoH(I have over 2000 hours of playtime in CoH1 ranked matches), so obviously it's a problem with the balance.

I just think that the OKW have been butchered to the point that Obersoldatens can't even stand up against Russian infantry. What am I supposed to use for anti-infantry? Sturm Tigers? Too expensive and takes too long to reload.


No shit sherlock rifles are better than volks, that's how its supposed to be. You must be vetlolcake 3.0.

Seems like bashing OKW (well Ostheer too) is really current FOTM. I understand there are many annoying bugs in game and that Allies has more problems in faction design/bad units than Axis, especially US suffers many late game problems (coz bad armor) and has troubles with Kubels etc. On the other hand, number of topics complaying about OKW units its getting really out of hand.

Complying to units like Walking Stuka, Fusillers or even Falls (!!!).. lol really? How you gonna penetrate wall of Maxims and AT guns on some maps if you nerf Stuka to ground (already happen with LEiG).

Or Katikof, how you can say everything after second unit is in favour for OH vs US? You dont really play much right? Its really hard to get decent map control for OH if you play against good US players. Basically its uphill battle until you stall with MGs, PAKs, Vetted Grens and you roll armor..

Second thought, many of those threads and replies are probably aimed to OKW vs. US matchup, because idk, but Soviet early game when you play smartly is not bad at all and you can bash OKW pretty hard... So yeah, lets talk about buffing Murica, rather than screaming nerfs all over the place..

I was watching a 2v2 played by Romeo and Napalm last night against an OKW and Ost player. Once the KTs roll out, it is going to be hell for the Allies. Only bad plays by the Germans granted a victory for Romeo and Napalm. The KT (and Jgdt?) bounced everything: Jacksons, AT guns, etc). Even a rear shot bounced lol

There were at the same time 2 KT and 1 Tiger protected by PAK40 and MGs. If you play well enough it's just impossible to lose using that. Those KT were used really poorly and they kept bouncing shots everytime but Romeo didn't use Armor Piercing rounds on their Jacksons and AT guns so probably they wouldn't have bounced that much.

I think they saved the replay, they should upload it to show the people that don't believe KT is really too strong. They bounced shots from 2 AT Gun 57mm, 2 Jacksons while the IS-2 was shooting and P-47 too...that was ridiculous.

You have too spend too much resources to barely damage it and then they run and receive instant repair with Sturmpionneers.

The american AT gun is sooooo badddd at fighting heavies but sooooo gooood at blowing up trucks from range. The biggest problem is just munitions. How I will use AP rounds on jackson, AP rounds on AT gun, Take Aim on AT gun, and P-47? I need to pop six ability to kill one heavy tank, it's so expensive! :D

I really enjoyed that game. I feel the combo of Jackon's and IS2's is great. However, as one of the other posters said previously we literally had to throw the kitchen sink at them to down those tanks. I'm looking for a caster to cast the replay. I learnt something that game as well. Combat Engineers kind of blow at repairs. My armor was kept off the field longer because of repairs compared to the KT's. If it weren't for Romeo lending out his crews I would have been off the field even longer than long which is super long.
