Is it intended for the P-47 to have the range of half the whole map? I'm just asking cause I moved wayyyy out of range of where the p47s were called in and although I moved 5,000,000 miles (exaggeration) out of the strike zone into my base, it just came and killed my panthers.

It is.

Otherwise it wouldn't have so huge tracking range.

in smaller maps its kinda i win button. Also it covers like half of the map for very long time basically denying any tank ops (or use of them in defensive purposes)

I agree they might needed some boost, but double the efficiency is kinda of an overshoot

I'm not sure they doubled the efficiency because the damage per rocket was halved AFAIK.

Now I've never said this before about any unit or anything else, but this ability is so obviously OP it's ridiculous. There are multiple occasions where I've both expected this to come, and then seen it come, and then even when I've blitzed away with my Panthers or Tigers right away there is no way to avoid them being killed.

In fact, I've managed to get away from it only once, and even then had to drive to the opposite corner of the map to hide in fear.

I have to disagree. It is VERY map dependent (certain maps it has hard time hitting at all), it costs 200 ammo, its damage just got nerf. It sometimes kills but in my recent games it has been around 1/3 strikes that it has managed to kill anything.

If your tank is reversing on road (so moving full speed) it just doesn't hit.

One click would kick down a KT to 45-25% health left is obvious too insane.
With Soviet mark target, even JT will die without any additional attack. (Proved in Hans stream)

It can surely kill the Walking Stuka / Puma / 222.

Even with Ostwind and Flak 251 guarding, there is still risk the P-47 would kamikaze themselves.

I'm sure first example would happen ONLY if KT is idling in map where there is no forests at all. Atleast after a patch (to 25% health, or even 45%). If someone claims something different, I would really much like to see it from demo.

With Mark Target I have not tried.

Thunderbolt before was broken. 200 ammo, most rockets missed the target which causes 5% dmg to KT for 200ammo or the plane was shooted down. This ability could make a great impact but it was once every ten times.
Now is ok.

UI was patched in to show the area of operations for planes but this is not very useful when the planes can still hit you outside of the displayed circle.

All multi attack strafes work the same. After the first attack the aircrafts starts to search for a new target, while doing this it is flying circles. It can only pick targets inside the displayed circle. As soon as it picked a target it stops circling and starts to prepare the attack. If the targeted unit leaves the circle now it doesn`t matter, the Aircraft will attack the unit even if the unit teleports from one side of the map to the other. The only way to avoid an attack is to leave the circle bevor the Aircraft chooses a target.

The KT was sitting on south Langres near the VP. Walking Stuka was shot down too.
It was so lucky the vet 3 Jacks didn't pen it and sued away by double schecked Volks, or I lost the game, because of that loloneclick.

Vet 5 Ostwind did his job good through.

I still don't really buy that because of that P-47 your KT went to less than half health let along was nearly killed. On my experience it sometimes have killed P4 and even finished Panther. But next time this happens to someone, I want to check it out for sure.

It also had Mark Vehicle on it, still that looked really annoying.

Whew. The prayers of the Allied players have been answered. We now have a competitive late game anti-armor capability.

I think Hans uploaded that demo today to coh2.org, have to take a more careful look. But yeah, crossing is one map where it actually works.
