It's always fun when you order a HMG to deploy behind some cover then find out it deployed 10 meters too far, facing the wrong way...

Yeah, I 've also noticed that, as Maxim was covering wrong direction, so Sturmpio simply walked past and removed it.

Hhmmmm, I'm not sure about this patch.

The LMG adjustment was long over due. I think that's a positive.

The rest I'm rather unsure about.

Over all I do know this patch will do nothing to address the over all core Soviet faction units and the win-lose ration between allies and axis for game modes above 2v2.

Overall I think this is a great step in the right direction for the Germans. Panthers and Brummbars are sweet now. Very happy with the patch from their point of view. Both teams really feel like a lot more fun to play. And the MG42 finally got its old sound back! Praise the gods!

USF received an awful lot of nerfs, though. I'm not sure why this is because I think the general consensus is that they were the weakest faction after ~15 minutes 1v1's, mediocre in 2v2's, and basically useless in big team games. I can understand why some of their early power was toned down a little, but they really didn't get anything in return except tank production time decreases (which are very nice).

Soviets are largely untouched. I still feel like they need a lot of love and some reworking with some of their support units, and need a hefty overhaul with their tech structure and non-doctrinal tanks. Seriously, why give the T34/76 the USF .50 cal treatment? I don't think I've ever seen anybody complain that they were overpowered. It's just one less reason to use only call-ins, as if Soviets needed any more reason to do that.

Prioritize vehicles is a godsend.

Also, Relic, your patch notes are really hard to follow sometimes. xD Just saying "increased from X to Y" or "reducted from X to Y" would go a long way. Oftentimes I can't tell what's a buff and what's a nerf. Even after reading this whole thread, I still can't tell whether conscripts are overall better or worse then before.

If I read correctly, now SturmTiger can shot through obstacles too. Correct me if I'm being mistaken.

yes he can. But they nerfed his range to 40

MG facing bug still there:*(

Someone who has actually tried the patch:

What does these changes mean practically to Bazooka and P47 Rocket Strafe?

I mean, Bazookas were somewhat useless earlier, they couldn't make them completely firecrackers, could they?

Establishing a treat point is a lie. I tried to hand out doggy treats to my men for a job well done but this feature could not be found. I am quite sad.

is the 40% on pathfinders for each rifle or do they have a single rifle as well?

Should be for the only two scoped rifles they have, unless they changed the rifle count.

Balance issues aside, tank pathing seems kind of fucked up now. I'm running into an issue where, no matter what I do, I can't force my tanks to drive along certain roads and they instead want to take completely illogical routes. So far, the most noticeable place has been just north of the far right VP on Semoskiy where I couldn't convince my Jackson to take the road to flank a Jagdpanzer that was sitting near the entrance to the Axis base. It instead wanted to drive through the gardens straight at the enemy tank every time.

in other words the 40% isn't quite as bad as it sounds. still not as good as the 75% but not as bad as 1 40% rifle.

I have experienced similiar issues. Especially flagpoles on snowmaps seem to have some sort of really strong magnet attached to it, no matter where you click your tank starts turning on the spot and accelerating/deccelerating not moving anywhere.

Everything except russian steel. ISU-152 still wipes squads......Epic.

It should not wipe squads all the time. I would prefer 2-3models + big hp loss.

Well it's intended since Jagdtiger should be stronger than a Elefant.

It is stronger without this crazy ability.

Whats wrong with it? That 128mm cannon was able to shoot through obstacles IRL.

From that point of view You might say that KV-2, IS-2 or ISU-152 are also able to shoot through obstacles.

The JT is the mobile version of a PAK44. Without this ability it is an elefant 2.0

And how King Tiger is not Tiger 2.0?

Let it shoots through obstacles but not as basic shot. Some ability with ammo cost or something.

USF:

OKW:
Panzershrek minor nerf
Volks minor buff
Sturms minor buff
Sturmtiger large buff
MG34 minor nerf
105mm Howitzer large nerf
Panther minor buff
Flak HT medium buff
Kubel large buff
Jaeger completely changed behavior

TL;DR

Hello 100% axis!

Wuut?

With all due respect for your place in the ladder, what are you talking about man? Why do you think sturmpio suffered a buff?! And Mg34 a "minor" nerf? There is nothing "minor" in the Mg34 nerfing. And the panzerschreck performs horibly at distance right now.

The way I see it, the great winner of this patch is Ostheer and the great loosers are USF and OKW.

I think this patch brought in fact to few good things to compensate the damage it has done. Overall, this patch is :faint:
