Mobile Defense Doctrine "Premium Item"

Hey guys,

I just noticed that the Wehrmacht's Mobile Defense Doctrine is suddenly marked as Premium Item. It used to be a free commander.

Please change it back to the way it used to be, this commander is my only hope surviving USF in tournaments where mostly non-premium commanders are allowed.

Well, with new war spoils system quite a few commanders that used to be free are premium ones.

Now you can't even use NKVD rifle doctrine on tournaments

Guess tournament rules would need to be revised.

Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Are premium commanders OP or something?

Or is it just the fact that people in tournaments don't have all of them?

The real problem is disallowing the premium commanders in the first place, especially now that everything can be dropped, and soon to be traded.

The DLC whining really restricts the number of strategies players can employ as well as creating a separate metagame. You cant ban doctrines in automatch.

I'll inquire about Mobile Defense and Lend Lease as to why the status was changed. NKVD, shock motor, Jaeger infantry and assault support aren't designated as premium so are still fine to use.

I do not know Relics long term plans with war spoils, if you can trade them, sell them, craft new ones etc. So until we know more it stays as it is.

Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals.
