Fraps problem

Hey guys

Having a bizarre problem with Fraps ver 3.4. It is not capturing any video in COH, just audio. It works in any other game I try it with, just not COH. Just a black screen, no fps counter.

Trying to get the next episode of Thirsty Thursday out and this is being a serious hindrance. Any help would be appreciated!

Try running in DX9 instead of DX10 would be my first guess.

Both Fatal and I have had various issues with v3.4. Try backdating to 3.2.3; it's a few years old but it works great for us.

Other than that, you could try launching in windowed mode just to see if that works, and if it does you could use a dirty workaround to simulate fullscreen.

It is indeed an odd issue.

I found a stable version with 3.4.6, otherwise try upgrading to the newer 3.5.X or downgrade to 3.2 as Tommy suggested.

Also try what Budwise said with DX, or other graphics/audio settings aswell, I remember having problems when choosing 'Ultra' on my sound options for some bizarre reason, it can literally be anything and everything that causes these oddball issues.

Just as with any computer errors do basic troubleshooting going one step at a time until you find the problem.

Makes sense, weird that the sound options screwed up video in fraps and not audio.
But I guess stranger things have happened.

Rosbone: But I agree, the cost to get a full decent Coh game pushing $115 US is not the best idea. Especially when it needs so much more work for casuals.
