Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Simplest solution would be probably to call them Wehrmacht Ost and Wehrmacht West (or, if you like that more, Ostwehrmacht, Westwehrmacht), unless the Oberkommando West was not supposed to be purely a Wehrmacht faction but was supposed to include forces from the Waffen-SS etc.

The faction division in the game is somewhat artifical either way, but that is fine from a game point of view. Resulting from this come some naming issues, but I think those names would be a decent compromise.

Was quite a shock when I learned that BMW is really pronounced "Bay em vay" in its home country. We Americans had it so wrong!

I normally get all bent out of shape over tiny semantic differences, but I don't really care. Anyway, the correct names for the factions are obviously "Americans" and "un-Americans"

I think we need to form a Committee to investigate these "Un-Americans" and their activities
