The only good maps on the 1v1 map pool is Kholodny Ferma/s and Minsk Pocket.
lol
Minsk is one of the worst maps in the game and its due to the design of having a map made of of linear lanes. It reduces flanking and increases camping 10X and it ends up usually being who gets their 100 range tank first and doesnt lose it.
Other bad maps are Langres Winter for its terrible deep snow placement that punishes flanking and tactics and increases camping.
And of course Stalingrad is just a disaster.

Camping? What are we playing, call of duty?
+ fucking 1.
If they bunker up, get mortars, panzerwerfers, flank, arty, ...
Camping, you guys mean defending?

Defending against an incoming enemy assault is one thing. Just massing mortars and bunkers on a ridge line, instead of attacking the enemy is another.

Shift your focus to another point and try flanks/barrages/..
No man, I really don't agree on this.

That is called digging in, a tactic often used in actual warfare.

If someone is digging-in at an area, just attack somewhere else. If someone is pouring all his resources into defending one point of the map, the rest of the map becomes 4v3. Communicate and coordinate with your team mates to concentrate your attacks against points that are not defended by a dug-in player, you should overrun these points easily.
Then transition of some heavy artillery like howitzers or katyuskas/panzerwerfers to crack the enemies strong points.

Maps can definitely encourage turtling style of gameplay. On some maps flanking is flat out removed or discouraged by its design.

So many people in this thread who obviously started playing the COH franchise in the last year.

Rails and metal map.
Select germans, make Maginot line with MG42s, PaKs and mortars, wait for ele and tiger, win.
Its that much more hilarious as it is oh so praised vcoh map.
Its quite hard to find more campy map in automatch now that Pripcamp river was removed.

Yes, lets continue to argue semantics about a word whose general meaning is well known and accepted, because that makes for such interesting, and productive discussion!
