CoH2 beta was originally planned for the end of January, but obviously THQ went under and Relic is now owned by Sega. They have to sort out the logistics and get the go ahead from sega before the beta can be released. It's only been a week after all.

Yeah we will probably be seeing news quite soon. I would say in the next 3 weeks we will see beta.

Hate to say it dude but I think the time table has shifted back for release. If not I am a bit concerned due to the fact the COH dev team wanted beta to go at LEAST one month so changes could actually drastically effect the final product. We will find out soon I am sure.

Yeah hopefully Sega will push the game back if it needs it. THQ's launch lineup might have been pretty rushed because they needed the money. If CoH2 needs more time in the oven then I hope it gets it. If that means a delayed beta, then so be it.

We live in dire times. People plan for things... even when times are good, things don't don't go as planned.

It'll probably happen in not too long, honestly. The change of publisher obviously slowed it down, but I don't think it'll be too long before everything is back on track.

I would love to see beta (and the game) released asap...but on the other hand I fully understand that it's going to take more time because of the change of ownership. So now I'm hoping that it doesn't get released while I'm on vacation. So anything after April the 13th would work for me :P

I aint too worried, probably a month till beta, then in Summer COH2. Later then announced but that's always the same with games. Let's just hope it's worth the wait.

I doubt that they will release it on the summer. Since they wouldn't sell as much at that point because people are busy with other things. But we'll have to wait and see. ;)

Less than 1 month of beta, when coh2 comes out it's gonna be unplayable: unoptimazed(graphically), bugs, desgin-flaws, fail balance, fail gameplay design...

What a mess.

We don't know how long the beta will last because we don't know if they're sticking to the original release date. But how long was the beta for the original CoH? A month and a half at most?

And from memory, CoHO was 4 months in beta, before they announced its demise, and it carried for another 3 months after that.

Free to play games "betas" are different from other betas. A lot of them are basically just releases - MWO is in "beta" right now for instance but it's basically out. CoHO was the same way. CoH 2 should be compared to CoH, not CoHO.

Quinn said in the interview that Beta was ready to go, they're just waiting on Sega to say OK.
