So the Americans are looking more and more likely to be added into the game.
(I mean come on, "Heavy cav, here.")

So how do you think Relic will go about implementing them into Company of Heroes 2? Will they work the same as vCoh Americans? Or do you think they will go for a full overhaul?

Lets share our ideas, hopes and suggestions for the return of Murica!

Expectation is the first step to disappointment.
All of you who scream like biebers fan girls for americans will commit suicide if brick of land lease reality will hit you.

Please, stop deluding yourself.

I think Its going to be just a commander with some borrowed Shermans.. If soviets can use M3/M5s why not M4s?

Not overly hyped at all for a lend-lease commander, i don't like the current monetization system, and Shermans aren't that cool on my eyes so obviously i am biased. I'd be hyped if Relic actually implemented a free-rotation that changes every 2 weeks / month, or make a player able to gain in-game credit (See LoL monetization)

Edit: However if there is an Pacific expansion im pretty darn hyped. BANZAAAI

Remember they said how they could take the series to settings other than ww2?

My bet is Korea

lol i have already fought the brits and americans in vCoh and COHO, not scared. but for the sake of somewhat realistic settings there should not be americans on the soviet maps.

Yeah the maps would be a strange one, although If it is an expansion then I assume quite a few stock maps would be released.

As for the theatre I would love to see The Ardennes! It would fit the new cold technology as well. I think that a lend-lease commander is a possibility, but a man can dream right?

Although Relic could also go down another route like Ipkai said and do a totally different war and branch off to something like Korea, now that would be a curve ball.

I'd really love to see a setting in Europe, Ardennes or in North Africa like Ami said. Dem possibilities!! Would strongly prefer this over a DLC commander to be honest

My speculation is this is all part of Relic`s latest money grab:
  • nerf soviet units to hell
  • release US land lease commander that is viable
  • ???
  • PROFIT $$$

I seriously doubt they would hype "a commander" like this. They know how much negative reaction DLC commanders have had in some circles. This oughtta be something significantly bigger. Both Greg Wilson and Quinn Duffy flying to UK for this Dev Session? Should be something more "next phase."

Let's all meet in EGX twitch chat tomorrow and find out!

I just don't know how that would work. The Japanese army was inferior to the US ground forces in almost every way. They fought with WWI weaponry. They had no modern tank to speak of, not even light ones, and no AT that could dent a Sherman.

Do you really want one side to be dug in like rats and the other side having to root them out?

Korea makes more sense as the ground armies essentially fought with late model WWII equipment. Only in the air did the war look different than the 1945 armies of the US and USSR.
