The main problem with penal troops was that they were not cost effective against upgraded grenadiers. I don't see how this will change. It might even make them worse, because they now die even faster when charging in with a flamethrower/satchel.

Something we wont know until tested. Maybe they will be good across all ranges.

I will surely try out mechanized support and a different commander to see which one spits out armor most effectively. Stug III E could still use a buff, but there may be a chance for it to be slightly more useful if russian armor becomes delayed? Also, this seems to give incentive for russians to use soviet industry even more often to try to rush for armor dominance...

OMG! This will only benefit more skilled players again. When is this mayhem gonna stop?

Lets wait and test it first. So far, cost to performance ratio of T3 makes it even less desirable. I guess new era of "call-ins only" is coming, my friends.
To bad, because I love quad M5 very much.

Hopefully a deeper look into T3/4 will be on the cards next. They always said the plan was to start with early game and work up. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.

adjusting the early game infantry skirmishes definitely sounds like a step in the right direction, just like extending the early game and more MP cost on vehicles. great to see the alpha/beta feedback finally being implemented :-)

This surely means that the M5 is being moved to T2. Cant see that soviets only get the M3 if light vehicles is getting more important.

I was really hoping that they would expand on tank combat a little too, but I guess that's a bit much for a single patch. Still really excited for these changes.

Expect balanced to be a bit wonky after this, but it is definetly a change for the better.
