Look... I really wanted this game to work.

But I've lost interest.

I've lost interest because commanders are a game-breaking mechanic, whereby some players, who are better off financially than others, have an in-game advantage over others. I came to play a game - not to be reminded of my low social status.

$3.99 to buy elite troops ruined the game for you??

If its the loosing that makes you loose interest you can always compstomp. Not sure if the comp goes p2w-commanders.

"I have bought expensive AAA game, but I'm too poor to play it, I also have chosen to completely ignore balance patches and succumb to my delusions"

thats what I read here.

Yes, the constant expectation to purchase 3.99 (times, what, 20?) items is a strain. I already paid in excess of $60 for the game. I played through balance patches and it remains my opinion that the game has been a waste of money. I am not interested in playing compstomps - victory over a computer "opponent" bears little gratification.

The paid-commander model is game-breaking, money-grubbing garbage.

I'll repeat myself until it is gone.

Even if I were rich, I wouldn't buy them. Totally against this model.

Faceplates, skins, offline/TOW commanders, fine. Atm commanders no.

Fair game for everyone please.

Soviet shock army?
Shock rifle tactics?
Combined army for guard rifles?

German ones might not be as shining, but then germans aren't half as reliant on commanders as soviets, so supplemental role is all it needs to do.

Just to try to drag you out of your delusions.

Sure, Stoffa, it's all been said a thousand times before. There's still people who fanatically defend their perspectives. I was somewhat more moderate in my stance on this issue in the past. I guess I just wanted to update the community on my position, and maybe clarify why I haven't really been playing in the last month or two.

The collectors edition should've been a 'commanders season pass', Which allows you to get all future dlc commanders.

TBH I enjoy beating premium commanders with the normal commanders. Nothing says fuck you like beating a Tiger ace with Soviet Shock Army.

Oh sure, feels great when you win... but it's a real drag to be run over by level3 tigers from nowhere

By the time it arrives you should have plenty of armor/AT yourself.
Current TA is just a normal tiger with target weak point, something a pair of SU-85 can handle.

That's beside the point, which is that people who pay for commanders get a broader range of strategic choices, and those who don't are at a disadvantage because we are unable to test the meta for its strengths and weaknesses. A limited number of abilities - like in CoH1 - is vastly preferential, because you are able to anticipate which avenue your opponent might go down - impossible with a growing base of premium commanders.

How are the SU85s going to handle it when the Tiger Ace arrives with the super speed ability the second it hits the field? Also it has super range and a pretty fast fire rate so it isn't just a 'normal Tiger'.

its the same as a normal tiger that has vet 3. kind of funny to call it "super range" when its still 10 less than an su85. and its "super speed" is only when blitzing, otherwise an su85 can outrun it. su85s easily handle the new tiger ace.
