Maybe it's 'cause the Axis players aren't a bunch of forum crybabies, and they keep their cool and fight the uphill battle, unlike some of their "allied" counterparts.

Well basically they were just Bunkers which were armed with multiple Flak-Guns like the 88 or the "Vierlingsflak"

The Germans built 8 FLAK ( FLug Abwehr Kanone = AA ) Tower emplacements in Hamburg, Berlin and Vienna in an atempt to protect the cities from allied air raids.
Overground Bunkers that could hold 10,000 to maybe 30,000 civilians each.
They were invulnerable to almost all kind of bombs having 3.5 - 5 meters of ferroconcrete walls.
The later designs featured two connected towers:
A G-Tower / Gefechtsturm / Combat Tower and
an L-Tower / Leitturm / Directing Tower.
They were placed in a triangle formation around the city's center.
The Towers had a fighting range of up to 21 km, and could spew out 8000 rounds per minute.
During the last days the Flak Tower crews deployed their AA Guns against the soviet ground forces and the towers only ceased to fire with the official capitulation of the High Command.

Germany using captured .50 cals
Picture of 90mm flak cannon with kill markings. Kinda rare since the allies didnt use kill markings as much as the germans did, and preferred to use art or slogans instead.
Hopefully relic does the same with COH2...

You mean you guys have never heard of the zirkus fallschirmjägers? After the allies gained air superiority and the luftwaffe couldn't drop behind enemy lines, an adventurous fallschirmjäger with a past career in the circus said "GUYS, I HAVE AN IDEA FOR GETTING AIRBORNE!"...
and thus this is why relic hasnt added fallschirmjägers until there are sturmtigers to launch them across the map
