^Up yer butt. ;)

We need a new Luftlandepionier doctrine with LWGF, Fals, Wirbles, and Henschels along with a Konigskubel call in and a pair of upgunned Tiger II w. 105mm (to match the Soviets and their OP T-34-85 call in, ofc!)

:D :D :D

Also, new DLC that's shrouded in mystery and that will likely very 'meh' in its delivery!

The idea of paratroopers would conflict with Partisans though as their role of appearing anywhere on the map is overlapped. And not to mention Partisans are crap units that are yet to be fixed, good luck getting paratroopers of any quality.

Love this idea, although make the cp points for the paratroop drop to be the same as the Americans. +1

And where are the Fallschirmjägers? :/

I want the old Fallshirmjägers back :(. Abillity to choose where to vet (defence or offence) and FG42 that actually sounds fucking awesome.

yeh the cp requirment for the actual airdrop ought to be more like 3-4 cp instead of 2.
i really the like the idea though. espeically if it were to use the dropzone radius that the usf airbourne doctrine has.

Paratroopers for everyone!

I like the uniqueness of them belonging to the US.

Soviet Paratroopers undeservedly ignored. Everyone knows about the American paratroopers. Although Soviet paratroopers were used for its intended purpose more often. They participated in the war from the earliest days - in the Baltic States and finished in Japan.

Thing is, while Soviet paratroopers were numerous, Soviets actually lacked aviation for paradrops.
So pretty much paratroopers were just used as more trained infantry divisions.

^I'd be okay with this commander not dropping those paratroopers from the sky but just as a regular call-in unit. It'd still be a cool commander.

When the old parachute corps was transformed into the Guard infantry. Created new parachute divisions and brigades. (created parachute company of Marines). Paratroopers were dropped near Moscow (and stopped the the offensive), in the Crimea, in the battle for the Dnieper River, in the Battle of Japan, and hundreds of small operations. They dropped to the surrounded soldiers. So I think ignoring Soviet paratroopers unfair

Many things are ignored anyway for gaming/design purposes.
At the start, when coh2 was just announced, I thought we will see some different units.

Say for soviet AT gun I thought we will see more dedicated ZIS-2 57mm gun, that was better against tigers, but we got more general 76-mm. Also vehicles, like numerous BA armored cars (we got T-70 though). There were occasions when Turettless BA-10 were used for transport, that could fill M3 role.

If we go for infantry there are plenty of things not used:
Like Tank Riders
Marines
Paratroopers

However limited weapon choices leave not much space for design.
Say Marines - DP squad with SVT would just overlap Penals and Guards
Tank Riders are just a unit armed mostly with PPSH
Etc.

So pretty much we would get just differently arriving squad, that's all

I would take a look at 37-mm gun. Compare it to 45mm, that is present in game.

4CP maybe way too late
