Range 10.

Who wins?

Bar rifles.

Easily I´ll add.

Wake up balance team. USF is nuts to play against esp combined with that uber-cheesy 50.cal WC51.

ST VG are 260/60 mu units while Double bar riflemen are 280/120 mu unit.

The riflemen should win in such an exchange especially at the favorable range of 10 and equal veterancy. Vg would perform better at max range.

How did OPOP riflemanz get only 7 kills while poor poor UP volks got 21?

Volks behind sandbag OP!

Seriously, 10 range is almost optimal for that squad, at 8 range they have the vast majority of their DPS. If they get closer I usually press T unless I'm certain they've been shot to pieces. You need to force them to come to you (behind cover) or at least get shot up on approach from 35, which StG44s will do very well. They'll outscale you squad for squad but your squad is cheaper and can easily force them out of nearby cover (and cripple their dps whilst moving).....

WC51 is broken OP but being addressed in the upcoming patch. Will it require more nerfs? Time will tell.

The real Kepler would be ashamed.

Read the changelog, the dodge is planned to be nerfed and as other have explained there's no reason a Volks would ever trade effectively against a double bar Rifle at 10 range.

I assumed when Bar'd rifles would end up winning out at max range, if im honest. I hadn't tested it, though. I'm almost certain they do if they have 1919s.

Just checked. Fields of winnekendonk, mid VP, max range cover to cover vet3 rifles vs vet5 volks. Both max upgraded. Volks won 8/10 fights.

Lmao sure dude.

I just checked and double bar vet 3 riflemen won without dropping a single model vs vet 5 volks with STGs. At max-range + behind sandbags everyone in green cover. Are you sure you tested this in coh2 and not some other game?

Just FYI if you don't believe me:

A Bar has 3.9 DPS at max range while a STG has 1.44. A Riflemen Garand has 1.7 and a Volks K98 1.8 while Riflemen have 0.64 RA at vet 3 and Volks have 0.77.

So it's not even close that double Bar Riflemen have a huge advantage.

I'm quite baffled as well at these results. There mustve been some other variables in play.... even if neither squad ended up with weapon upgrades, vetted rifles should edge out at long range due to superior vet.

At vet 0 no upgrades, volks trade roughly evenly with rifles at max range-which ends up being in their favor as they are a cheaper squad.
But volks should not be "winning" in the way you've described unless there's something else going on.

Just focus on the strengths of your preferred faction and realize you have it a lot easier than your USF opponent.
