Why PM-41 skill flare not moved to vet 1? this skill is too good on team match
because it sucks without it... if u want to move it to vet 1 it better get its ROF buffed to match other mortars...
besides OKW flares are far more broken for teamgames than the PM-41 flare...

The barrages should be buffed if flare goes to vet 1. The ost and soviet mortar auto rof is closest its ever been been but both ost barrages are stil a lot better.

Actually that is incorrect MP-41 already has superior barrage than both GRW-34 and M1-81.

Only if you completely ignore reload, which makes it inferior.

Nope that is incorrect, MP-41 barrage is superior.

Scatter, yes.
Reload, no.

Scatter, yes.
Reload, no.
And if you take both of them in consideration the MP-41 barrage is superior.

I find the barrages of soviet mortar take to long. Ive had mg42's just wait it out with little to no damage taken. And units such as grens or pgrens just walk out with less chance to take damage.
Now that i think about it the mortars are more responsive now. Esp with seperate cookdowns. I defenitly love that change
I will test the mortars some more. I will walk back on my comment bout the barrages.
I do not think the flares need any changing atm.

I just didnt use them enough. The sov barrages are more forgiving i still find, then again most sov stock stuff is nowadays.

I thought mortar has been standardized, and all units with flare get that skill on vet 1. But why this mortar is not?
no the soviet mortar fires far slower than a normal mortar.... as ive said... move flare to vet 1 but then we need to give the PM-41 the same reload as a gr34

Can we take a look at su85's focused sight range + it's vet 1 ability? First of all I think that focused sight should give it "only" 60 range (not 70), moreover it shouldn't stack with vet1 ability. Tracking should work as 222's ability and display things on mini/tacmap, not affecting directly line of sight at all. Currently if you use focused sight and tracking ability you can see further than 100 range, and I don't think soviets need so good sight provided by this unit as they should rely on vetted t70 and/or flare abilities from t1 and t2.
Drop down the cost, remove increased sight and it should detect vehicles on minimap not infantry/support weapons.
For flare: if mortars in general were any good, moving it back to vet 1 would probable be the correct choice.
Don't forget that reload is not the only component in regards to RoF, cause most of the mortars are pretty much with simil rof nowadays.

That and when you factor that the Wher mortar fires faster in auto and barrage mode and is more accurate in auto fire makes having a flare about all the Sov mortar has going for it (this being preferable to the precision shot of old).
Been a solid wher strat since game launch to build a couple mortars and simply be in range of the opponent, no micro they just auto fire accurately. Least the barrage (as the flare) has to be requested by sov player to get results on any kind of "par".

I would point out that arguing that the Sov mortars barrage is "better" despite being able to re-locate due to the gaps between barrage shot is kind of odd.

The ost mortar auto fire has been brought down close to soviet mortar. The difference there is minimal atm. Since then double mortars from imo has dropped out of favor hard in 1v1 at least.
