Adding a spotter to the StuG 3

I am trying to add a spotter in the commander’s hatch on the StuG
The model seems to support it, as if you clip the camera in to the model there is a indent under the hatch.

To clarify I am not trying to open the machine gun hatch, Iam trying to open the round hatch on the left side of the StuG

As far as I can tell, that hatch does not open.
